Epcot managers: kindly consider a one-day a year change in soundtrack... you guys love retro, limited-edition merch and mashups; this seems like it might work well for that...

Agree, guardians is pretty good. I don't know that it's what space mountain was when it debuted back in the day or even what big thunder was when it debuted back in the day, but that doesn't take away the guardians is very good. Tron is very mediocre.I was very surprised when we rode Guardians 3 weeks ago for the first (& 2nd & 3rd) time. I loved how the large screens are used and the movement of the cars rather than just facing forward. The story is simple and the most of the queue is fun. I thought it worked wonderfully and is one of Disney's better efforts in recent years. We had ridden Tron the night before and feared for the worst for another new Disney coaster, but Guardians turned out to be great!

It's a launch coaster...I'm not saying it's not short but in comparison the velocicoaster is like 5 seconds longer. Most launch coaster are pretty short with exceptions like Hagrid which I think disney needs a version of...themed to star wars speederbikes perhaps
Not only that, but some coasters get their thrills not from big drops or inversions, but speed. It's a launch coaster...I'm not saying it's not short but in comparison the velocicoaster is like 5 seconds longer. Penguin Trek just sitting there twiddling it's thumbs....Not only that, but some coasters get their thrills not from big drops or inversions, but speed.
It seems that when a ride vehicle goes very fast, it winds up that the ride is very short. I wonder what the connection is?
Should all launch coasters that feature speed as their main source of thrill include sections in which the ride slows down for 'scenes'?
I liked the fast parts of Hagrid's. The slow parts.... not so much.

Granted it's a family coaster. But, launches are it's thing..And the only theming is the start and finish..
Speaking on behalf of the Penguin Collective, we disavow our brand from being associated with such a bland coaster.
