I still love that conservative "scientist" who claimed climate change is a "myth" built by liberals, and his proof was that it snowed in his town the earth is not more warm than before :hungover:

To quote the Colbert Report- "Global warming isn't real because I'm cold now! Also, global hunger isn't a thing because I just had a sandwich."

Another analogy- "They say the Titanic is sinking, yet my side of the boat is all the way up in the air!"

I see this argument quiet often, I find it hard to believe a smart guy like yourself(no sarcasm) can't see the difference. The phones are always available, they are always in our faces, they are a CONSTANT. TV, Radio, newpapers, took work to get involved in. They don't take over every aspect of your life. It's a matter of scale. I find this argument to be akin to a similar global climate change argument I hear from the Dinos are fake crowd. The Earth is always warming and cooling, they say. Well, duh. The difference is, the Earth is now warming at like 8 gajillion times the speed it ever has in the past. It's a matter of scale. Anyways.....

EPCOT SUCKS!!!!
Do you even science bro?

In the Parks
Yes

Its bias based on the scope of information available to assess and draw conclusions, no need to deride. If your data set is limited to lets say the last 20 years you reach one conclusion, 40 years another. Your frame of reference and data sources limits your accuracy.

We rode Energy four times on our trip this past week. If it does become official, we'll be planning on being there for Energy's last day.

GotG definitely belongs in the parks, just not at the expense of such an amazing, unique, and classic ride system/building.

Think about this: UoE has existed for a longer period of time than the Disneyland Peoplemover.

This is the only way I'd be able to ride Energy four times during one trip:

The filmed interludes are so outdated that they've become interminable!

Haha. Of course they are, it's bad. I started going to WDW with my family back in the early 90s and can remember the original ride quite fondly though. It's very sentimental for me. This recent trip we just went on was my GF's first time at WDW and she absolutely loved UoE, for what it's worth.

Hey, so, I just saw someone on Twitter say they saw some designs for the ride: suspended coaster. It's Carousel of Progress Love on Twitter, who seems to be someone who works in the parks as they generally do updates on Carousel of Progress refurbishment stuff (obviously). I saw another article after looking into it that looked into patents and Vekoma behind the scenes stuff to infer it might be a suspended coaster. Not sure if this is new info or a trusted source but I didn't see anyone else reporting on it so I figured I'd toss it out just in case.

I have my fingers crossed it's not suspended. One of the things I like about Disney is I never have to use lockers to store my stuff before going on a ride and I can't see how that could be avoided on a coaster like this.

Didn't make the graphic. Just found it and linked to it.
But, you're right. Some of the stones were used in multiple movies and places.

Can you just imagine the awesome ideas Disney is probably thinking of right now:

Energy: Travel through Energy with the Guardians of the Galaxy
Imagination: Travel Through your Mind with Vision
Spaceship Earth: Travel through Time with Dr. Strange
Motion: Travel through Reality with Thor
Space: Travel through Space with Loki/Red Skull
Life: Travel through your Soul with Ant Man
The Land: Soarin with Falcon
The Seas: Nemo

[/sarcasm]
The Seas: Namor

I had heard one proposal was a suspended coaster. Could be that they are going with that. In sure the locker sitch would be like Kali.
