I see WDW NT stole this rumor from here after saying it would go to Mission SPACE yesterday or the day before. They even include my misinformation about UoE closing in September, which I've since said was my mistake (that's DCA). LOL...

"Clarifying from inside sources" indeed. Didn't email me for comment...I would have never said I was an insider. I'm enough of an outsider to run for POTUS.

Uh Disney acquired Marvel back in 2009 and could have added Marvel attractions to DCA or any of the international parks right away. If they haven't done it in 7 years what's all of a sudden the rush now? Stop pretending like you know how Bob Iger thinks. The only time they wanted to get IP quickly into the park was Star Wars because of the huge demand for it.
GotG came out in 2014.

I doubt anyone other than Bob (and maybe Willow) knows how he thinks. I can surmise that he likes IPs that he purchased to go into the parks if anything is going into the parks. See also: PIXAR, Muppets, the last-minute updates he demanded for World of Color. What's the best predictor of future behavior?

No, not random.. Just the ones that are really popular for a short time. Don't you think this is a great decision?
FABULOUS.... The guests will file into those big staduim cars and we will see ELLEN, dressed in a dogwoman outfit, she is out to take over the world. she is ranting how she will be the one to answer to as the stadium seats race at about 1 mph to the next scene.
.. Here is the team of Guardians, seeing the Guradian sheild lit up in the sky, the world is in trouble and the Guradiansare needed to save us from this evil doer. The staduim race again to the next scene where there is a battle between the arch enemy ELLEN and the fantastic 4, I mean the Guradians. Ellen wants to blow up the space station and take over mission Space but the Guardians will save the world from this terrible plight.
... The stadium seats race again to the next scene as battle continues. This time is at the Guradians home station in Epcot. ELLEN lobs power balls and blasts parts of the UOE pavillain away. The Guradians take turns trying to protect the building and lob the old dinosaurs at her. Finally the TRex takes a final bite and ELLEN IS GONE. The Guardians save the day, well they had to let the TRex join so the Guardians could get the credit. TREX, did you just belch??? The Stadium seats move to the exits as the guradian finally is played out and the curtains open to show the exit. Have a wonderful Disney day.

Sorry, replacing one of the pods with fish from nemo and putting in the animated m&g did not connect the 'where is nemo' plot of the ride to the living seas. The seas lost its connecting fiber when they took away the seabase and the message it told... Leaving behind only the animal exhibits and what their placards say. Nemo did nothing to replace that. It's value is it out a cute ride in where we had dead abandoned space before (sounding familiar??)

The seas is a great example of how Disney took ambitious... Wrapped it in story and fantasy/futurism/optimism and the resulting sum made it a true unique experience.

Now it's just like your regional aquarium but left stale.... Who rolled in an inflatable slide in the parking lot to entertain the youngin's

Nemo fits the decor and makes kids interested in fish... Because they look like the characters. That's it
Again, I can see how one could have issues with the execution of things, especially considering the lack of story cohesion to it all. But my point had nothing to do with how it was executed, but rather that their is nothing wrong with the Nemo insertion on paper. I also feel the need to repeat that while the ride itself may not educate, the pavilion as a whole still does. You demean the value of the characters having a direct to real world aquatic life when in reality, its an ingenious vessel to get kids connected to the message through.

Look, I understand the skepticism. I really do. A month ago, everyone was saying "GotG is DEFINITELY coming to Tower of Terror." Because it was. Now it's not. 8 months ago I adamantly insisted that Star Wars Land would be built over parking lot and Monstropolis on Streets of America. Because that was the plan. Now it isn't. The best anyone can provide here is a second-hand account (with some details purposely withheld) of a recent version of "Ze Plan" (the plan moving forward for the parks, which is reprinted each morning and held in a crimson briefcase by an angry Frenchman named Mathis). Of course Ze Plan could change, but there has been mounting pressure from on high to commit to a GotG retrofit on both coasts. They can pass this hot potato around but eventually some park and building will be stuck with it. Let's hope it instead Dinoland, USA ---> Zandarland, USA.

Eisner purchased the Muppets

My bad. Though I still think Bob's love of IP in the parks is clear.

So the obvious solution is to find Mathis and switch out his briefcase so we can have Ze Plan?!?
