That's always been the idea. The Future World name was never supposed to be taken too literally in the tomorrowland sense. It was about how we can harness the different subjects and use them to create a better future.

I'm going to go with my gut reaction and just say it (lol) : Guardians at Epcot is dead. God willing.

Seems that way, unless it goes to the Wonders of Life pavilion. And if it isn't the Tron coaster going into Energy, what does that leave? Big Hero 6?

Has there been any information on a possible closing date for Energy??? I'm wanting to see it before it closes and I'm going the last week of July.

Most likely, I would guess. I wouldn't like it and prefer the Tron Coaster but it could fit depending on how they did it.

Where did the Big Hero 6 rumor start? Was that from a credible source? It definitely would be one of the FEW IP's I wouldn't mind in Epcot.

Not really credible but someone mentioned they heard it through some rumor grapevine and I could see BH6 slightly fitting Epcot. I don't believe it was shut down by anyone so far unless I missed it. I wouldn't mind it. But it's probably not it LOL. I just can't think of anything else but maybe someone else can. I was just throwing it out there as an idea.

I agree with the sentiment but right now I am focusing on minimizing damage for the future. We can worry about the mistakes of the past when the Bobs are gone

Well, as of right now, insiders have indicated Tower is safe from the Guardians takeover regardless of what happens with Energy.
Nope. Was going to be maybe within a year when it was GotG. Then that got pushed back a few years. Now with GotG possibly out of the running, whatever other thing they do might be sooner than later... or not.
The permit is for water/wetland management which they need to do for any behind-the-building building. Even if it's GotG years from now, they still have to do that, so, might as well get it done sooner than later. Which means, it's not really a clue as to timetables.

I have no faith that the first part of your statement is true. The part about construction is definitely a huge factor and once SW opens they will need the extra capacity in the park due to huge crowds. I don't see it happening in the next 3 to 5 years but after that...who knows. Maybe GoTG will lose favor by then.
