OK, SERIOUSLY when has Disney EVER done the phase 2 when they break a project into phases? Like never.
Phase 2 of EPCOT was supposed to see all the attractions originally planned for World Showcase materialise...that still hasn't happened. There is NO REASON for them to be cautious about adding new attractions...they are more crowded than ever, park revenues are up, and they are in need of more capacity throughout the entire resort... Cautious...lol More like just plain cheap.

I think you live under a rock if you think Disney thinks it stuff doesn't stink. Every recent move (in my humble opinion) as been to thwart Uni's moves. Universal has already stolen some of my business (a 30 year plus Disney only veteran) and will likely steal more in the coming years. Avatar land and Star Wars lands are a great start, but they need to continue to plus parks and not replace. I'll admit that Uni is starting to do just that so they need to starting adding instead of replacing as well.

If Disney is still pushing for Guardians to take over Ellen's Energy, I hope they put more effort into it than Mission Break Out. This sounds like a mess (the tweets were posted in the Spirit Valentine thread last night, but they sort of apply here too).

An absolute mess. I am expecting, upon opening, that this will not be lauded as any sort of improvement. Obviously people will ride the thing, simply because it fills the void that Tower of Terror left. Its concept is ugly, garish, and lacks any class. Basically the antithesis of Epcot. But I agree, let's hope they shelve the idea completely. Ugh. Guardians honestly fits the vibe of Tomorrowland '94 more than anything else.

Well if the majority of people come off of this feeling violently ill, I'd say that it'd be qualified as a failure.

No one said 'majority'. Its also only one report.

The same person also complaining about the inclusion of Figment and Harold (the Matterhorn Yeti's nickname) in the queue. This is something that people would love from Disney normally, but because everyone is determined to hate this attraction, its 'cheap' and 'unDisney'.

Take the tweets in context, someone who has taken a hard stance and actually are relaying second hand accounts through their own lens (the twitter user did not ride it).

Tellingly, they take the one clear positive (the AA) and use it as a launching point to complain about lack of AA's in new rides, when ToT actually had none. Spin 101. The pixie dusters do it too, but a laundry list of complaints is not an actual review.

I've said this down in the sub forum, people expecting poor reviews outside of the message boards will be incredibly disappointed. I fully think Navi River Journey is incredibly well executed and appropriate for its park (albeit short), but it's guest satisfaction will be much worse. Unfortunately, people just think classic non-thrill rides are boring and want to be flung around to pop music with their favorite characters.

Self referential nonsense is criticized plenty.

Easter eggs in attractions are welcome, only if done well. Simply putting retired and beloved animatronic figures into a predominantly criticized attraction, and in a box, is not something a devoted Disney fan would "love". Seems like a desperate attempt at fan service.

Putting Figment in a park across the country from where he originated seems pathetic and panders to the lowerst of lows. Gotta satisfy the Disney nerds somehow I suppose.

Ah, but someone who is known as 'The Collector' would most definitely want to collect the 'unique' Figment when he visited earth.
