Grumpy Umbrella Girl

Everytime I go to Disney, the same girl is sitting at the entrance to Frontierland, painting umbrellas. She does beautiful work, but she never smiles. I've seen her there for a few years now. I am not complaining about her, so don't get me wrong. I just want to know how to make this poor girl smile. She works in the happiest place in the world, how can she be this unhappy? Anyway, suggestions would be greatly appriciated!

I've seen the girl at the entrance to Liberty Square/Fronteirland. She's actually very nice. I think she's just concentrating on her work so she can't really stop and chat to everybody. I talked to her for awhile waiting for my mother to come out of a store and she was very nice.

Something about the image... a sad looking girl painting umbrellas... sounds so tragic :(

 It sounds like the first line of a Charles Dickens novel. "The sad and lonely girl sat, painting umbrellas, as the crowd laughed and flowed around her."

Yeah, maybe she's concentrating on painting the umbrellas. I know I wouldn't be smiling to myself while painting those things. Then people would be writing about "The scary girl sitting painting umbrellas smiling and laughing to herself, as the crowd flowed avoidning her."

I would, personally, love to get paid to paint.

I have tried talking to her, she never seems interested in talking. She does a beautiful job painting.

:) That is so funny, and yet so sad. I would read it. Charles Dickens meets Mary Poppins.

I do get paid to paint and I have to say I find myself making the "frowny" face more often than I'd like to admit! It's just concentration, that's all. :)

You can get a special chocolate that helps you out if you are concentrated....

I have seen a few CMs here and there that sometimes are frowning or just nut too smiley. And I think to myself do I smile all the time, nope. It's hard to smile all the time. So I am sure there are a few guests who have seen me and I may not have looked extremely happy. It is unfortunete is someone is consistently not smiling. It shows they do not appreciate the environment they work in...
