I know of the gardengrocer.com but is there any other place that delivers groceries to your hotel room while in Disney. I wanted to price check and see which place you all recommend. Thanks

Renting a car for just a day would be a lot cheaper than getting a taxi there and back. You can rent one from National from either the Swan or Dolphin (can't remember which one it's at). I've heard Goodings is expensive. I've checked out Garden Grocer and think we'll be using them on our upcoming trip. Even though we will have a car where we could go and get our own groceries, it will be less time consuming while on vacation if I can sit at home, order my groceries and just have them delivered. I think it comes down to if I want to waste time in a grocery store vs spend time in the parks. I think the parks will win for us!

Goodings is expensive but I believe there is a Winn Dixie pretty close thats cheaper. Also when you order groceries and have them delivered to the resorts there deliver to Bell Services and then Bell Service can deliver them to your room or you may pick them up at the Bell Stands. Well thats how it works at OKW and SSR at least, but I imagine that the rest of WDW operates the same.

On this same line of thought, can you get alcohol delivered to your room?

Garden Grocer doesn't have alcohol on their website and I would imagine they won't deliver it either. It puts too much liability on Disney to have Bell Services deliver it to your room. Since they'd be handing you a drink, in essence, I would imagine they'd need to train every bell services employee in alcohol laws in order to provide this service. Even grocery store employees, in most states, cannot transfer alcohol until they've had training.

However, you may be able to call Garden Grocer directly and request it.

let me know if any of you find out about alcohol delivery. I am thinking no state does this but I could be wrong. I could always ask the magical express driver to stop LOL

Does'nt Disney have gift baskets with champagne in them? what would be the difference in delivering one of those or a 12pk of beer?

They will delivery alcohol, I've had wine delivered with my order forthe past 4 years and no prob...I believe they just can't post it on the site menu...I believe some kind of liability or some regulation thing....But yes in the comments area just put what you need..Name, size , quantity....All they did was the day of delivery, they called to comfirm the order....Either that or call or email them...I found them to be very nice.

Garden Grocer delivers alcohol. Gooding's doesn't.

Any delivery fee will be MUCH cheaper (and MUCH less time consuming) than taking a taxi or renting a car.

I've used Gooding's 3 times. I'm a totally satisfied customer.

When we are there, most times we have our truck, we go to a wallmart they have everything we need there. A grocery section, very good prices, then everything else just in case we forgot something, ( which we always seem to do) But we also but for the week not just for a few days, and it works out. When we want a snack we have it, when we want a quick breakfast it's there, or late night snack there as well. So as was said earlier in this post I would say rent the car and go get what you need and have a blast. 13 days till visit 20 at BLT, 6 days after it opens......CAN'T WAIT!!! :D:sohappy::D:sohappy:

We have used Garden Grocer many times, and have been very happy with the service. They were great. Each time our groceries got there before we did and bell services took good care of them and delivered them to us when we arrived. I highly recommend Garden Grocer. It saved us a lot of time and frustration of shopping ourselves. Have a great trip!!
