Grocery Delivery Question

I have read about the Garden Grocer service, which delivers to WDW. In past years, we had a relative in the Orlando area who would take us to get some basic supplies for our room, like snacks, sodas and beer. We won't have that this year and are debating the delivery service vs. taking a cab to the on-site convenience store to stock-up. We definitely think the delivery would be easier. Has anyone used the company before with good/bad results? Is the front desk staff usually accepting of such deliveries, since the items compete with those sold on-site? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for your help!

I used Garden Grocer during our 2011 trip. We bought milk, cereal and yogurt to feed my daughter breakfast while we got ready in the morning. Fruit snacks and bottled water to bring in to the parks. when we landed in orlando i got a text message from Garden Grocer that they had delivered my grocerys already. When we arrived at All star Music I forgot to stop at the bell hop desk to request the grocery's. So when we got to the room I called down, they said they would send someone up with them however we didn't have to wait in the room for them to arrive. I can't remember I think we went to the food court to have some lunch and when we returned they had been delivered. The bellhop had even put the milk, yogurt and apples in the fridge for us. It was great service from garden grocer and excellent service from the hotel.

Excellent service from Garden Grocer and the bellhops (except for one guy who dropped milk and then proceeded to spill it all over our luggage). The food has always been waiting for us at check-in and bell services delivers it to our room and even helped load it into the kitchen area (we were staying in DVC villas). The time that they broke the milk and ruined a few other items it was all replaced in less than an hour and sitting in our fridge.

We use Garden Grocer on every trip and are pleased with their service. All orders are delivered on time, and the fruit and baked goods are fresh. The food comes from Publix (Publix grocery bags, Publix brand muffins from the bakery). They now have alcohol on their site, though you have to fax an ID if you order alcohol.

i have used garden grocer many times and have always been happy. however this last trip a few weeks ago- they were not delivering at a time that was convenient for me. so i tried a new company called "strollers and groceries". way beyond happy. not only did i get my stroller and my groceries at the same website, they do not charge for delivery of groceries if you are also ordering a stroller.
and more importantly to me, there was some type of computer glitch with my order, when i called, the manager was so upset that this could happen, that he didn't even wait for a "runner" as he called him, to get back and make it right.......he left the building himself ASAP and had me fixed within fifteen minutes of my call. anyone can make a mistake, making it RIGHT is what i appreciate.
not downing garden grocer, they've always been great, but consider this guy too, i was just impressed and appreciative of the service i received. (and no delivery fee if you also need a stroller)

we have used them several times (including last week for our Christmas trip) Very easy and trustworthy. we have never had any issues and we are using them again in February. its a great option to be able to order and pay online. youre on vacation. dont waste time shopping. if you dont see something online, call them. if they can get what you need they will. they have done this for us in the past. you can also order beer and wine online. they will call you back and forward instructions to send a photo ID to verify age. simple.

We have used Garden Grocer multiple times, and the service and food has always been first rate. Never had a problem with the resort not accepting anything. Much better than getting a cab and doing it all yourself!
