Gringotts possible ride description

There's a pretty big difference between realizing a mistake and admitting it right away and arguing a point you can't back up until the bitter end, just want to make sure you understand that "the record shows that". If you told me that I'd be coming onto a Disney forum to see some crybaby get butthurt over Harry Potter canon I would have laughed in your face. You defy internet logic .

Seems like you know all about butt hurting.

You're wasting your time, because he only ever does the latter. The only purpose of arguing with him would be to see just how hilariously nonsensical his argument can get before he simply gives up and blocks you.

Oh, and this isn't baiting, because he can't see it. He can't see anything I say about him. *girlish teehee*

All you missed was someone who claimed he was an expect on all things Potter getting whipped cause he apparently doesn't know all things potter... but that is par for the course around here... too many experts who know nothing about what they are supposedly experts in...

I don't know if Mom cleaned up anybodies mess either?

She did some cleaning in a thread where a now banned troll attacked, but I'm not sure anything here was cleaned up...

As for the ride, wouldn't it be best to wait until Universal announces things? What ever comes out now by "sources" can and will change 1000 times between now and when the expansion opens....

Intamin is involved by the way and the leak from TPI is surprisingly accurate in several scenes.

Kinda surprised they went with yet another coaster manufacturer...seeing as how they've used B&M, Vekoma, Premier, and Mauer Sohne...now Intamin? Gosh I hope it's reliable. While I love some of Intamins coasters, many of them break down very often, or occasionally have design problems...Maverick, Intimidator 305, Skyrush, Xcelerator, Kingda Ka...just to name a few.

That's a little disconcerting. Intamin isn't known for their forgiving ride restraints. Two notable examples are Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point. After the death on Superman: Ride of Steel at Six Flags New England, all Intamin coasters had their restraints redesigned to be much more restrictive in a sort of knee-jerk reaction to the incident.

If heavier-set folks were having issues fitting on Forbidden Journey, they're going to be turning away even more with a coaster built by Intamin. The only recent Intamin coaster that I've been on that didn't have such restrictive restraints was California Screamin'...although in that scenario they may have only designed the track, not the vehicles.

On a side note, did Universal think to look at Intamin's reliability record? The last decade hasn't exactly been stellar for them. Pretty much every major coaster they've designed has either had a delayed open or its initial opening period is plagued with extended downtime.

That's exactly what I'm worried about. I've ridden many of their coasters at parks all across the US, any while many are fun, this is indeed a problem.

Gosh...why can't B&M build a custom indoor coaster? That thing would be comfortable, reliable, and smooth!

Are the restraints from cheetah hunt at BGT bad on big people? the shoulder restraints have a little give to them. The cars might be custom from UC and might not use Intamin's restraints. Here is a link to the cheetah hunt cars for reference: http://rcdb.com/9456.htm?p=35084

To be fair they would have to fill the whole thing with sand or you wouldn't be hearing anything for a while.

Cheetah Hunt is a newer design that uses Intamins OTSRs and yes, they are a little more forgiving. However, the concept diagrams indicate a lap-only restraint, which based on the description of the ride seems to be all that would be required. As long as no seatbelts are involved it shouldn't be too bad, but many of Intamin's lap restraints are designed to rest on the top of an individuals thighs...if the lap bar can't reach them, there might be an issue.

Filling it with sand wouldn't be a problem. They've done that with coasters in the past. When I rode Silver Bullet at Knotts, I was totally confused and in disbelief that I was riding a B&M since it was so quiet.

Yeah same with Kracken at SWO. In fact its almost too quiet, like it takes away part of the thrill. I wish they could pump in some tunes or or sounds to liven it up a bit. But I know the reason it was filled with sand was for the neighborhoods behind it.

I live close enough to hear the screams from Kraken. The last thing I want to hear is the coaster itself.
