Great Movie Ride Ideas

On my blog's refurbishment of Disney's Hollywood Studios (renamed Disney Studios Florida), there is a drastic redo of The Great Movie Ride. I'm having trouble with deciding film should represent the sports genre, Rocky or Caddyshack. There is a poll above with the two movies.

While I do prefer Caddyshack over Rocky any day, Caddyshack just does not belong in Disney.

To paraphrase Carl Spackler: 'When you die, you'll have no refurbishment but you'll obtain total consciousness- so you'll have that going for you too, which is nice'

Love my "Caddyshack", but never in a million years would it be there. "Slap Shot" wouldn't cut it either. If you did an AA "Rocky", I'm afraid it would look like Rock'em Sock'em Robots.
How about "Field of Dreams" or "Pride of the Yankees"?

Great Movie Ride is one of my all time favourites.
I love the surprise of getting hijacked by a movie character and getting to ride through famous movie scenes.

If you redesign it, you've got to keep a similar element of interactivity and adventure as its what sets it apart from anything else.

I think the superhero genre has been neglected in the past, now Disney owns marvel, theres a whole catalogue of characters you could feature.

Field of Dreams was made by Universal while Pride of the Yankees just ins't that well known.

Between the 2 choices given, I choose Rocky. I think a great sports movie to put in the ride would be remember the titans. Its a Disney film and it was pretty dang good as well. But if they are to do anything with the great movie ride, I would put a scene using the same AA type as the wicked witch. It would be Vader fighting Luke with the emperor looking on from return of the jedi. Now that would be awesome.

Just had an idea; what about a Titanic showscene; The car travels into an elegant ballroom, the announcer says something like "You are now entering the Titanic, the finest ship ever built, but on this fateful night an iceberg has struck, dooming the passengers. Will you survive or perish at the bottom of the sea?" Then water starts gushing down the staircase, (like the Earthquake ride at Universal) and your car just escapes as the room floods.

Ummm, there are quite a few movies represented in TGMR that are from "other" studios, including UNI. And, seriously, Busbee Berkley musicals and old Tarzan movies are better known than "Pride of the Yankees" ?

At this point, any films added to GMR would have to be Disney (or else gotten the rights to).
