I was a tour guide for the later half of the time I worked there, for the first half I mostly worked at the fastpass touchpoints/boarding. Thanks! It truly was an experience, and one of my favorites I've ever done. Glad I could spread magic and smiles!

Some of them have been in a massive state of disrepair for many, many years now. I doubt they took any pains to remove them unharmed. There was no future use of that ancient technology.

3 possibilities. 1, which is most likely; Scrapped for parts. 2, At some headquarters like John Wayne and Mary Poppins. 3, Least likely; somewhere in the archives. I know they probably wouldn't have any space for some normal animatronic like that, but we can only hope he is in good hands. I saw a picture a bit ago of Sigourney Weaver in the archives, as well as one of Mugsy's 2 gangsters and the Alien. I'll try to find that.

That Sigourney Weaver one is something that Sigourney Weaver would be willing to pay to have destroyed. It didn't age well at all, must have been all that sweating. There are probably some non-motion parts that are salvageable but I would doubt that it would be cost effective to not just sell them for scrap, and the moving parts and their drive motors must be long past there "use by" date.

I guess that was an older picture. Because I just found out that she's been scrapped for Finn's parts in RoTR.

There isn't much animatronics recycled with all of their parts. They are mostly scrapped with parts taking up inventory. The only ones that have been reskinned with all of their parts (that I know about) are the old Superstar Limo animatronics, America Sings, and Horizons.

A bunch of the Horizons ones were stored under Carousel of Progress for parts with some of the heads being stored backstage.

Not sure if any were reskinned and reused.

Weren't some World of Motion animatronics put in Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean?
Yep, they were removed when the movie elements were added however.
