I couldn't believe it when I was looking around that great website and recognized his wife! I had the great pleasure of meeting her at Epcot last year!

Yeah, that's pretty much gone down as the most visible deconstruction in disney history. I'm not sure what more they could have done short of building a 75 foot wall in front of it.

It must have been! How long did things look that way? I mean, if it was for a couple days, eh....bad but not so much. If it went on for weeks and months, well, sheesh, that is kinda bad to subject guests to it. While I always want to see what's behind the curtain, most people don't.

Thanks for the link. I loved that ride, so in my morbid curiosity, I'll check out the images. It's a shame because it disappeared in the stetch of years when I didn't go to WDW for awhile. By the time I started getting there again, it was long, long gone.
