$145 per point? Really? Wow...we all, myself included, thought point values were going to be a lot higher. I am pleasantly impressed.Just curious, where did you see that price?

I must say that I am a little annoyed that I haven't gotten an email from DVC or even my rep about the presale and public sale. Being that we are DVC members I think we should all have gotten this. I first saw a post on instagram not too long ago about it. NOT cool.

I thought $145/point sounded good but then I started looking at the points chart. It's 199 points for a Lake View Studio for a week in the summer. Even BLT's Theme Park View Studio is 183. I'll gladly "settle" for a BCV Studio for 134 points.;)

Awe, too bad we have to "settle" for that. Haha. 134 is quite a difference from 199...a big difference.

I agree I just read about it on DVCNews.com I would think we all would've gotten an email with all these details...Not that I am planning to add on right now. But its nice to be included in the loop.

Just watched the announcement video. I keep throwing money at the screen and this guy isn't responding! Take my money. I'm begging you. Here's my credit cards!

Current DVC members can purchase as few as 25 points.

Don't know about new members. I'd guess 100 points.

Yeah. They will usually tell you it's 150, but if you hem and haw, they will usually come back and say they can let you buy 100. Now there may be something different during the initial sale period, but that is what they typically do.

The other thing they've done in the past is offer some hefty incentives after the initial sales period.

Since VGF has only 2.5 million points (compared to, for example, AKV with over 7 million points), it's not clear to me if Disney will need to offer incentives at VGF.

Yea well I won't be going to Disney in the summer anyway...too hot and too busy.

We go in Jan and Oct and own at BCV. It already costs us 15 points during those times at BCV. At VGF it's 17 points a night during those times. Not going to buy there but may switch at the 7 month window down the road. But I think we will be sad to leave the Beach Club. Lol

I knew VGF were going to be pricy so I'm not surprised lol

The decor of the rooms is really nice, but that's it, so I'm not tempted.

I already have BLT, and it offers great views of the fireworks, the ability to walk to the MK, quicker access to Epcot via the monorail, a DVC pool and community center, cheaper maintenance fees, and it takes less points to stay there than VGF.

I don't need VGF, despite the decor of the rooms.

I think the studios at VGF may be difficult to book at 7 months, but I should be able to snag a 1-BR at 7 months.

I agree exactly with all of this and for me I will also add in that I'm saving my next purchase for The Villas at Disney's Polynesian Resort :):):):)

Depends how many people find out about the "next big project" for DVC. Could be a tough sell if people hold out.

We want to add on but I am waiting for the Poly to add on. We will stay at VGF but I don't want to own as I know it will probably not be our top pick.

Did anyone on here purchase at VGF? Anyone go to SSR and see the model? Just curious. ;)

Finally got an email today from our rep about VGF. Anyone else? I think it is interesting, yet cool, how it is $145 per point for current members but goes to $150 on 6/19 to the rest of the world.

I got the email too. I don't have a rep so it just comes from the generic DVC mailing list:(. I'm surprised it didn't go up more than $5. I wouldn't be surprised if it hits $165 by the end of the year or this time next year.

I agree. I think it will be at $165 by this time next year. I am surprised that they don't have the info on the main WDW site or even the DVC site yet, though. If they did, it would be promoted a lot more.

It does seem odd. It was up on DVCnews.com on May 20th. DVC had a press release with the relevant info, but no big hoopla from the standard Disney site.

Here's a link to the press release:
