But there’s a path right beside them. Or is that where they’re planting stuff? They are elevated walkway panels and railings.

If you look at picture 7, it connects to another pathway farther up the bank. But there’s a path right beside them. Or is that where they’re planting stuff?
Thank you for sharing! Progress on this project is what I love to see. Can't wait for it to be done. Here is a look at both Grand Floridian walkway bridges from earlier today

Which is mid September I believe, if things stick to the published schedule. A big “if” perhaps, the way things are going. This is planned to open with the Grand (the resort, not DVC, of course). Covid made this particularly...appealing.
Looks like a lockout on each end. Might have to have both positions manned to open.Interesting. Looks like there will be an operator. I wondered if it would be automated somehow. But, a live operator makes the most sense safety-wise.
Indeed.Which is mid September I believe, if things stick to the published schedule. A big “if” perhaps, the way things are going.
Due to budget cuts this is a new thrill ride. If you drive your scooter fast enough the ups and downs will give the the sensation of being on a roller coaster.I am guessing that they are only temporarily installed for now because they are just sitting on wood beams and are not at all level.
Same here. It is kind of odd that they are not just doing a concrete path, but this is outside of my area of expertise by a fair margin.I am guessing that they are only temporarily installed for now because they are just sitting on wood beams and are not at all level.
$100 a ride and I think @realBobChapek will approve!Due to budget cuts this is a new thrill ride. If you drive your scooter fast enough the ups and downs will give the the sensation of being on a roller coaster.
Isn't that just a temp vehicle "roadway"? For heavy equipment? The actual walking path is further down on the water's edge anyway. Unless I'm completely confused by what everyone is looking at.I am guessing that they are only temporarily installed for now because they are just sitting on wood beams and are not at all level.
Yes a late September opening would seem to be very achievable looking at where they are now. This is planned to open with the Grand (the resort, not DVC, of course). Covid made this particularly...appealing.
That is what I was thinking.Isn't that just a temp vehicle "roadway"? For heavy equipment? The actual walking path is further down on the water's edge anyway. Unless I'm completely confused by what everyone is looking at.

You are right, it is closer to the Monorail track, roughly where the red line is.

Thanks for posting those. I gave you a "like" for doing that.
Had you shot them in landscape mode, I'd have given you a "love."
Well, I'm glad you remembered to take ANY photos to post. Next time, though, please think of all the image data that's not being captured -- in this case, valuable information about the bridge approaches -- when you shoot vertical.Nice. I wasn't prepared! I was riding over, and remembered, "Oh crap, I should probably take a picture for the forum," just as it came into view. After >1 year of tracking progress on this, the bridge was the last thing on my mind when I hopped on the Monorail after check-in on Sunday.
