Obviously Disney knew I am a man that enjoys bridge er- I mean construction so they gave me a room in BLT facing the big red crane:

A photo on the previous page shows the temporary structure use to "represent" the bridge for them to place the cofferdam around.
This image at a wider angle makes it seem a lot less disjointed.

This may have been discussed earlier. So apologies if it was. With this new walkway - will there be an option to walk from the GF to the Contemporary without going through security? I'm assuming that going through the security checkpoint you would be able to.

Nope. With the redesign of the entrance plaza in front of MK you'll need to go through security somewhere before the current boat dock and monorail station. The entire area in front of the magic kingdom is within the secure zone and you would have to pass through that to get to the path to the Contemporary.

Given the state of WDW news, rumors, and refurbishments, have to say this is the current project I’m most excited about. Certainly no drawbacks I can think of, and it’ll make leaving MK at night such a pleasure. Thank you for the updates!

At least then you can pee over the edge into the lake, instead of using a bag.

Right after they are attacked by the roaming gangs of vicious dogs overtaking the resorts!
