Grand Floridian Buildings

I could see the fireworks very clearly from my DVC balcony.
I was in a standard view studio and requested high floor level, which was given.
Some of the Villas face the other way, with the monorail right in front and the Poly on the left. (But that might be pretty cool)

Two years ago we had a two bedroom standard view DVC room that overlooked the waterfall right outside the back entrance on the fifth floor. We had a lovely view of the pool and the entire resort. We could clearly see the MK fireworks. Last year we had a two bedroom lake view room in the wing closest to the Polynesian. I actually preferred the standard view better.

Okay thank you so much!
Is this the row of forth floor rooms you are talking about? If so I agree, I think third floor would be better.

Also, I have never stayed here, so I don't know, but it appears that you would need an end room on Sago Cay, Conch Key or Boca chica to have a good view of the fireworks. Seems like a limited number of rooms. Is that right?

Yes, you circled the dormer rooms. And most of the theme park views are on the end of those buildings (others are club level in the main building). The main entrance to Sago is in the middle of the building, and the elevators are right there, so it is just a short walk to the rooms at the end of the hall...and so worth it .

We stayed Sago Bay with a theme park view and it was very nice but it was one heck of a walk back to the room after a long day at the park. Of course, the GF resort is so big all of the theme park views are a long distance from everything.

Funny how perceptions differ...I don't consider GF to be a big resort at all (especially compared to other resorts) and never minded our walk back to Sago. Sago is the closest to the bus stop, and a quick walk to the boat dock to MK. I agree it was further to the monorail, but not a deal breaker. :)
