Graduation Blues

We had our graduation meeting today....we got our order forms for our cap & gown and to tell you the truth...It was depressing. I have to grow up now! And I don't know if it's cuz recently I found a college I'm interesting in, and that I don't want to leave everyone but it's very sad.

I guess I just have mixed feelings about graduating...I REALLY want to and am looking forward to beginning life on my own. But I am going to miss everyone....and I'm gonna have a hard day on graduation....Ali gonna cry.

But now that I've talked about it, maybe you all have some graduation stories you want to share! I just thought it would be a cool topic

Well, maybe some comfort... As much as you may miss your high school and friends, college is better. Working after college however.... sucks.

I was glad to get out of high school. I couldn't wait to get graduation over with...it went quick, I got my diploma and left the high school parking lot for the last time. I can't explain in words how happy I was. I'd like to take this time to say that everyone told me high school would be the most fun or best years of my life were WAAAAAY off. They SUCKED!!

Now college...thats fun. MORE work and ALOT more people who I can relate to.

As for work...what is it? There's no time in my life for work...college is work. I know if I had a job along with classes that I would be failing everything. I'm not about to pay to take classes and then devote all my time to bagging groceries and price checks when I need to be concentrating on the classes that I'm paying for.

I agree with Spidey...High School is just a stepping stone...and although it's all you know right now, you will have a great time in college and you'll realize how petty high school was and how much bigger the "real world" is...and I'm telling you...

For you...there will be a great big beautiful tomorrow...shining at the end of every day!

Keep your head up chica...you'll do just fine

who said ANYTHING about growing up?
Ive been out of hs for like 3 years now. and im still not grow'd up (althought i have to admit im much more mature and level headed than i was... i think growing up is not something to fear or loath but to embrace.... and if done properly, you wont feel a thing!!)

True, it does mean that you have to grow up, but to tell you the truth getting out of HS was awesome! As much fun as I had and as much as I loved it and as much as I miss my underclass friends, I'm having sooooooooo much fun in college. Trust me, I just graduated in June so I've only been out of HS for almost 6 months. I still see those friends when I go home and I e-mail them and talk on IM all the time. Just enjoy the rest of your Senior year before its over because it goes by REALLY fast.

No stories here, still a sophomore, just wanted to remind you that you get to apply for the WDW college Program soon! yay! haha. I'm already a hopeful:lol:
