Grad Night

Gran Night is a four evening event (two Fridays and two Saturdays) in May for graduating High School Seniors in Florida. They close the park to the public and allow the students into the Magic Kingdom from about 11 PM until 7 AM. They also have concerts and other neat specials. We had to wear a shirt and tie when I went back in 1992. It was great though.

It's not just for FL residents, unless they've recently changed it.
You do have to dress nicely. I didn't go b/c I didn't really want to go on the senior trip with my school. Every year the buses break down and the hotel is lousy...and it was no different that year. Plus I didn't really feel like dressing up at Disney World, plus the park is no fun when its just filled with a gazillion teenagers, its more fun with families...maybe that's just me.

From what I remember, granted I went to Grad Night in 1985, is that you are not able to buy tickets this far in advance.

As far as the dates go, it is usually held during the first two weekends of May. I purchased my tickets through a coordinator at my high school...so I would advise you to ask your principal, vice-principal or even guidance counselor to see if they know of this. I do not believe the tickets are available to the general public like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas or Night of Joy.

Joe

BTW: for the record, I graduated from a high school in Tampa Bay, Florida... ;)

Okay sorry, but I have gone with family and with school. I'll tell you the way it is all spruced up for grads is just the shizznit. It was the best time I ahd ever had at Disney. Shirt, tie and all, greatest damn fun. Then the bus ride coming back was awesome too. I got to do so many funny things to the people that passed out (ie, clown faces with lipstick, shaved eyebrow, etc.) This was a blast. A TON OF FUN!!!! ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY!!!

Well, I'm glad YOU had fun. I'm sure a lot of people enjoy it or they wouldn't go, it's just not for me. I'm entitled to my opinion.

I went to Grad Night in 2001 and it was great. Grad Night is always in April and it offered on Friday and Saturday nights four about a month.(Your school will pick the night it goes on) Tickets are a little expensive and you had dressed up all spiffy. (Disney policy) For me we came back to school about 5:30 boarded a bus and headed up to Magic Kingdom. At 11:00 pm you get to go into the park and there are hundred of school that come. The neat thing is that you can meat High School soon to be graduates from all part of the state. Awesome experience- with all of your friend and it is great. Plus you get a free photo with your friends.

Go to Grad Night- My Sis is a senor this year and I’m making her go!

You HAVE to go with your school; you can NOT go by yourself. So just talk to your principal to see if he (or she) can arrange a field trip for the seniors. I went in 2000 and had a BLAST! So much fun-Destiny's Child & Jessica Simpson were there, & BBMak was as well. But different performers are there every year. I think in 99 NSYNC was there, but don't quote me on that.

27 people? Thats it?? My graduating class in NYC was 1083 when I graduated. That was not the entire class either, that was the actual graduates. The class obviously was larger but some people were left back etc. 27 people should be easy to get together for a trip like this!!! Belle
