Grad Night(s)

I apologize if this has been asked before... but what are crowd levels like at the end of Grand Nights? I finally convicined DH to book a trip and we arrive on 4/27 through 5/3. 4/27 looks like the last day of the grad nights weekends. I was just curious if anyone has been around the same time frame and how crowded it is?

I went during the end of April a couple of years ago. Other than the MK closing early, it was doable. The crowds weren't low, but neither was it really busy either. Actually, I wouldn't have even known there were grad nights except that we saw a bunch all dressed up entering the Dolphin one night. I wouldn't be too worried, unless you are planning to stay value, which is usually where the youth groups stay. Then, the value resorts can get pretty busy.

We have been the last week of April for the last two years. The crowds were not bad, but the MK closing early put a damper on our plans because that is our favorite park to be in at night (our trips are kind of short, so the MK closing early 2 nights while we were there was a big deal). We have decided that in the future we will not be going to WDW during Grad Nights. If your trip is longer, then losing 2 nights at the MK might not be a big deal.

Thanks! We are staying value (saving up for the big anniversary trip the following year) and was hoping as it is the tail end, that it might not be too bad....

We were there last year over a set of Grad Nites and it wasn't bad at all. We stayed at the POP! and didn't have any serious noise problem. (It was a little loud about 30 minutes after the last park closed, but that's it). For me it was enjoyable because it was my Senior Trip as well, just not with the school, but that's I will say about that. :fork: Anyway, you should have fun and it won't be too crowded, but like others have said, it won't be empty.

Wow. We saw nothing like that in April. I thought the kids there for Grad Nite were really well behaved and rather polite. We did have one group of boys in line for BTMRR who could not watch their language, but my mom got onto them and they stopped.

(And yes, I am the same age as those kids, but I have been called very mature by adults, especially compared to my peers. So, my judgment on them is a little harsh usually.)

i've also heard that alot of the kids like "to get it on" in the HM because there are no cameras only motion sensors for if somebody gets out of the doom buggy

Wow, I'm new to the forums and I was searching around on info about Grad Nite because it was like about 20 years ago for me and wanted to find out if it still existed....

I guess it still does!

Dogs?! We were so much tamer back then...LOL
