Just out of curiosity, when is grad night this year? Also this may be stupid, but does your whole school have to be participating/signed up in order to go? Thanks!

My grad night is April 24. We depart at 3:00PM and arrive at WDW at like 6:30 then we return the following day at 10AM. The musical guests are Simple plan and Monica. It's 105 bucks and we have a dress code of what we can/ can't wear. That's all I know.

Hey good thread :)...I went to Grad Nite April 19,2002 and it was a lot of fun...lucky for us it didn't rain like for other schools...let me tell you

We got to Downtown disney super early like at 4 and they let us wander around the West Side til about 6:30 when we went to Pleasure Island for a couple of hours...it was nice to go in the different clubs and enjoy ourselves...but I have to tell you these are anxious seniors suffering senioritis majoris and things got a little out of hand with the dancing...you can imagine  but whatever...MK we got there like at 10 and we rode everything and by the end of the night we were exhausted and slept all the way back...

Tips:
1)Dress comfortably! Especially the shoes, mine were ok but I could've done better...and it was funny by the end of the night a lot of girls bought mickey slippers  ...other people in my school took a change of clothes for the ride back and pillows and left them on the bus...can't recommend that if you won't have the same bus both ways
2) they offer complimentary pictures...take them! we took them and got them the next Monday very quickly and the pics are nice to have of you and your friends...if not, take your own pictures with a camera those are pictures I definitely cherish
3) have fun!! I want to go back with my friends for a multi-day trip but I'm having a hard time convincing them that we haven't seen it all...one friend thinks that Grad Nite was enough...oh wellll

hmm I think that's all

Grad Nite is great! I went many many many years ago, and we had a blast. They closed the park down to "regular" guests and it was only open to Florida High School Seniors. It was so much fun. It's a great memory to have.

Have fun at your Grad Nite!!!

Piebald...

I'll be going to UCF this fall as well. Are you planning on working at WDW?

BTW... My school went to Grad Bash last year; I heard it was horrible, that's why my class gets to go to Grad Nite!

I went in 94, it was great you'll have a great time. Stay in a group of friends, there were 3 hardcore- ugly fights while I was there so be aware of your surroundings and if you don't want trouble be polite and low key. We had a great time and as for the drinking -that is a good way to get thrown out and held back from graduation. The day of and the day before we had the cops running their dogs through the lockers and parking lot (one kid got popped with 150 hits of paper) and we all got searched before loading the bus. It was my first TRIP, Lots of Strange Demented memories- but that was years ago and I haven't done that stuff in years. It was very, very harsh and the first couple of hours I was too paranoid to enjoy myself but by the end of the night...permagrin. Astro Orbitors.:lookaroun

I don't want to offend anyone, drugs are bad,M'kay.Don't do drugs.

Do as I say, not as I do.

I'm not in High School anymore....but I'll probably be working those nights at WDW, does anyone know who will be performing? Or when they post who's performing.

That's not too bad! In 2000 at my Grad Nite, I saw Jessica Simpson and Destiny's Child.

I only have one recommendation, WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES! I highly suggest you pass this on to your friends, too. I convinced my best friend to do the same thing and she thanked me all night. All my other friends were in pain....it's not fun when your feet hurt. Especially since you're at the park for a short time and you want to do everything. (Well, I imagine you do!) LOL

Have fun...sleep well the night before and the way up, if you can. It will be a night to remember, if you act responsibly and follow the rules! :D

Oh! And don't forget to buy a t-shirt as a souvenir...

Grad Nite was great, I went in 2001, not as much debauchery as I was expecting from previous trips, but yea they searched hardcore, even made us take off our shoes (mind you this is pre September 11) to search for contraban. If you are really determined there are ways to get messed up, but my advice is to do that on your own time, it would ruin WDW for you if you got expelled from high school there and couldn't graduate. Also if you do get arrested your school will leave you without bailing you out, we did that to a kid once, his parents had to drive up to orlando and bail him out.
