Got engaged in Disneyworld!!!

Hi everyone, we just returned from Disneyworld and the trip was absolutely amazing. My dream came true and my boyfriend proposed!! It was so wonderful and romantic. Here are the details: He was actually there for a conference but I got to really be on vacation! Saturday morning, he ordered me breakfast in bed first thing in the am. He went to a conference for half a day, when he returned we went around to previous places we had stayed and special things we had done. (This was our third trip to WDW and definitely the best.) We went to Coronado Springs and Wilderness Lodge and then we went to the Wedding Pavilion just to "check things out." As soon as we walked in (there were no people there at the time) I was so overwhelmed with emotion because it was SO beautiful. You see Cinderellas castle out the window at the front of the altar. And I started to cry and told him I wanted to be married there and he was fumbling in his pocket and said "Well how about we get engaged here." then he got down on one knee and said "Will you marry me." and of course my answer was YES!!!! It was Wonderful! Then we went to california grill for dinner and they had Mickey confetti on our table and we got a piece of complimentary cake to share that said "Congratulations from the California Grill". We are now thinking we may get married there. Anybody have any tips that did get married in Disneyworld? Sorry to bug you with my story but I thought I'd let all you Disney fans know!!

Congratulations! Definitely contact Disney about a wedding. Their staff is very well trained. While the budget can be high, you definitely get what you pay for.

Congratulations! That is awesome. I've always dreamed of a Disney wedding, but it didn't fit in the budget. We are taking a family vacation there this year for our 11 year anniversary though. I say if you can afford it, go for it! I always love the honeymooners at Disney with their little Mickey ears, and veils. It's too cute!

That's cool. Congrats!!!

Welcome to the club 'of people who have gotten engaged at WDW'. My wife and I did that 8 years ago. I rented out the rose garden at the Magic Kingdom. Had thousands of people watching me get down on my knee. I was too nervous to look at all the people staring down at us.

I wanted my fiance to propose when we were at Disney, but he didn't. His family asked him if he was planning on it, and he said, No am I suppose to? anyway, COngrats on the engament. I don't know if you live far away from Disney or if you have a ton of people that you want to invite, then Disney might not be the place to get married. But if you plan on only having like 10-25 or something like that, i think it would be great. I wanted to get married there, but my fiance wanted to have a lot of people at our wedding, so we aren't getting married there, but we are going there for part of our honeymoon.

Congrats and Good Luck with the wedding plans!!

Congratulations...thats something that will always be in your heart. Disney weddings can be a little pricey, but the only limit you have is your imagination. They will literally do ANYTHING you ask for.

Again, Congratulations to you and your fiance!
