To take attendance from the first 12-13 days of January at the MK only and extrapolate that to meaning things are fine and the recession/depression isn't affecting WDW is absurd.

You had the tail end of the holidays, the fans in town for bowl games, including a national championship game that was played on the 8th, and the marathon crowd. I don't doubt that the MK has pulled in 30,000-plus people when averaged out.

The continuing discounts tell plenty ... but since we have a holiday weekend coming up (so plenty of locals and APers will be out) someone will likely wait 80 minutes to get on TT or Soarin and therefore extrapolate some conclusion that is based on conjecture, bad hypothesizing and pixie dust.

I forgot to mention as well as you the Under Armor All American High School Game that was in Orlando. That means more families and I think that some of the practices and skills competitions took place at WWoS.

Most weekends coming up are actually looking pretty good as far as occupancy for at least the values and moderates. It appears lots of APs and FL residents are going to be invading on the weekends.

DVC at WDW is overkill, period. And has been for a decade now.

But I certainly don't mean seeing these carts disappear or CMs get transferred (hopefully).

It's one cut that makes sense.

Let me tell you something spirit. DVC is easily one of the goofiest scams in history and once people realize they got screwed (if they ever do) theres gonna be class action lawsuits up the wazoo (of course they have will have no ground since they signed a legitimate contract and don't own the property).

The question is gonna be whts gonna happen to all those empty DVC rooms...convert to more hotel rooms maybe?

I look foward to the day when DVC goes the way of Leave a Legacy and that day is coming VERY soon.

I am curious as to why it is a scam?

because Disney controls the price and value of the points and can change it whenever they want. The contract a person signs is basically totally in Disney's hands.
I should think that most contracts are that way. Have you ever read a lease agreement for a car or an apartment? Same thing. The leasee has very little if any control. As far as value, is a homeowner in control of the value of their home? In many ways, no. Again, I would agree that it is not necessarily the best value financially, but many people make that investment for other reasons.
