Good morning every one isnt it so wonderful to be alive. I just had the best night ever last the girl i met here at the WG lakes took me out for dinner and it was amazing i am intoxicated. Well just to say it again Good moring and have a good day i am of to go shopping and get her something foe valentines day

Good morning to you! I haven't had my first cup of coffee and I will need extra today. These Mardi Gras parades are killing me;) . I am so tired and will be until Wednesday.

Good Morning ALL- I allowed myself the luxury of sleeping "late"(8am)...I have got to pace myself, for my "truck Float ride, tomorrow after Argus, in Metairie, LA (Debbie, you know what I am referring to)

So I am relaxing here for a bit before I continue to wrap up some office work and take off the rest of the day to get myself and all of my stuff (Mardi Gras beads, stuffed toys, loads of plastic cups, etc.) over to my friends house. We have to leave in the wee hours of the morning to get all of our "throws" over to the where the truck float is parked, so it can be loaded up and we leave around 6am to go to the parking lot at Clearview Shopping Mall, where all of the truck floats line up and wait.

They have "judging" of the floats in the parking lot between 8:30am-9:00am ish, and then we just wait until it is time to roll...

There are two truck float parades that follow ARGUS, the main Mardi Gras parade, in Metairie, LA. We will be the second one this year and are in the Krewe of Jefferson Truck Float CLub, truck #14.

It''ll be a loooong but funfilled day.....HAPPY MARDI GRAS, everyone !!

The weather is supposed to be perfect (cool and clear):king: :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

Hi Debbie...I didn't see your post until today....

WOW, am I tired today..It was fun, except for the part when some creep in the crowd threw a mostly full can of beer at the float and it hit me in the shoulder.

I was just turning around after getting a string of beads off the hook and when I turned back towards the crowd, BAM, the beer can hit me on the top of the shoulder...OUCH, that hurt, and later on, some jerk pelted us with loose beads, which were thrown so hard, that they stung when they hit us in the face...

I was truly PO'd at the plain meaness of that...
