Going to propose to GF any ideas?

You could do what my brother did. He proposed to his girlfriend in a hotair balloon over WDW. He even improved on that idea by paying for an airplane to fly (safely!) by while towing a banner with "Will you marry me?" on it. She said yes. Come to think of it, I would've probably said yes, too.:lookaroun

you could also contact www.giftsofalifetime.com and see what ideas Jane has for you.
She can incorporate a bunch of different ideas too and use the wishing well, glass slipper and fireworks as "props"
Here's a thought for you. Do it your first full day at the parks and that way it's done and you can concentrate on having a wonderful engagement trip!

Take my advice and don't do it. Marriage will suck the life right out of you. Maybe not in the first or second year, but you can't bet all your life's savings on it happening after the third year. TRUST ME.

Depending upon how much you are willing to spend at Disney World you can go with any of the following:

1. Rent the Boat Breathless and you can propose during the ride.

2. Cindy's Royal Table. A very nice way to go, they will allow you to purchase the shoe after all is said and done. Which is a nice way to remember it.

3. Ride up front in the Monorail coming from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom and do it when the Magic Kingdom comes into view.

4. Pop the question on the Liberty Belle in Frontierland.

Hope these suggestions helped. Let us know how you make out and congrats.
I will be celebrating my honeymoon at Disney World in August. :sohappy:

Here's what I'm going to do but you can steal it if you want it. It's kind of corny but some girls eat that stuff up.

Take her to Cinderella's Wishing Well. Give her a coin to toss in the well and tell her to make a wish. Tell her not to tell you her wish because then it won't come true. Then tell her it's your turn. Pull out a coin and toss it in. She'll be wondering what your wish is even if she doesn't ask so say "Let's see if it will come true." Then get down on one knee and pop the question.

Kind of corny, but I thought it was sweet. I'm faaaaar away from getting engaged so feel free to steal it. :p

like the idea its fun and i want sometheing fun to! sadly my gf hasnt been to wdw yet so has not been on any rides yet hehe its all going to be new and exciting for her i hope hehe and i wont to do lots of magical things because its her holiday hehe:king:

My fiance proposed to me during Wishes as Tink flew, and I never saw it coming. He slipped away a couple of times throughout the night to find CM's who could arrange for a PhotoPass CM to take pictures during the proposal. It was magical...

We also stayed afterwards for a while until (most of) the crowds left, and they took more "posed" pictures.

Here's a few more pictures...

Good man! Don't listen to those guys. I've been married for 35 years to the same lady. I can tell you in all honesty that marriage is better than getting poked in the eye with a sharp stick.

You can't go wrong with anything that involves the castle. Very classic, that's how I got mine! :sohappy:
No matter how you do it, she will love it. Good luck! :)

This is a great suggestion! If you wait until later in the trip, you will obsess about it and won't enjoy yourself. Besides, you will enjoy watching her show off her engagement ring the rest of your trip!

Wow, listen to that positive outlook. I actually find this funny, but I'm not sure why.

I proposed to my now Fiance last Halloween at MNSSHP. She was dressed as Christine Dia and I was dressed as the Phantom of the Opera. I took her to Cinderella's Wishing Well next to the castle. went ahead of her and had her Dad tell her where I went and sent here after me. I had two identical ring boxes. One with two new 2005 pennes and one with the ring. I set the box with the pennies on the edge of the well and let her find it when she got there. I also put a note inside that said "Make a Wish" (I knew what her wish would be. It was the only one she had talked about for quite a while.) One penny was to make a wish with and the second was to keep as a reminder of the moment. Then I sang her part of a song from Phantom of the Opera ("All I ask of you") and got down on one knee and proposed. I then gave her the second box with the ring. Then we hugged and kissed and heard a bunch of applause from people who had been walking by.

Probably my favourite WDW wedding/proposal story I've heard yet.

I got proposed to at chef mickey's. I wrote a trip report about it...(as it's too long to write out all the time...I just refer people to the report now instead...:) ) My fiance called ahead of time and got everything set up. It was actually very romantic. So that's always an idea too.

Here's the Link

One other suggestion - if you haven't already buy the ring in Florida - it's soooo much better value than the UK!!!

I proposed in front of Cinderella Castle, just before the FITS fireworks show. She didn't know I was going to be there (on a trip with her family), and I'm still amazed that it all happened without her knowing!

I've seen several proposals during Festival of the Lion King, all previous arrangements. My personal favorite was for the daughter and (future) son-in-law of one of my coworkers:

The unsuspecting girlfriend was in the park assuming she was there just to visit her dad at work. She didn't know her boyfriend, who is in the Navy, got some time off and was in Orlando. She was seated on one side of the theatre while both families were secretly escorted in through another door. One of our cast members picked her for the routine "hand jive" magical moment. After she helped him teach the hand jive, he told her to close her eyes, count to three, and she would get a surprise. She closed her eyes and, as the audience counted to three, her boyfriend entered the theatre in full uniform, took the microphone and got down on one knee.

Surprise, she said yes!:sohappy:

She told me later she kind of knew it was coming becuase I would not let her near the camera bag or the room safe where I was hiding the ring.

Now our wedding is scheduled for Sept. 30, 2006 at WDW.
That was beautiful. During our wedding ceremony, we had ALL I ASK OF YOU playing. Good luck with the wedding plans.
