Going to DisneyWorld for the 1st time

My wife and I have went to Disneyland the last 2 years(this year and last). So next year we decided that we want to go to DisneyWorld. We were wanting to go in April. Is that a good time to go? Is it really really crowded or is it alright? When we went to disneyland it was fairly crowded because of all the high school graduations and also the pirates of the carribean premieres(which are awesome). So I was just wondering if April is a good time to go or not. Thanks

Well besides the spring breakers...its not so bad.

Best advice would be to go to opposite early entry park days.

example: tuesday is EED for MgM, go to epcot or animal kingdom that day. Then at night, if you feel like going to see Fantasmic, hop on a bus at your hotel or at the TTC and head over to Mgm. ( best go an hour or 2 before the show starts).

I took three separate trips in April and always found the crowds to be fairly scarce. I think it is a great time to go, especially due to the fact that our dreaded summer heat hasnt fully creeped in by that time. My favorite months to go are Oct-early Nov. and Feb.- April. You will find weekends mixed in those months that make up long weekends, or run into times where kids have school off and this can make for a chaotic park, but all in all they are typically great times to go. If you are able to go during the weekdays of April it will certainly be a slim crowd.

Find out when Easter is, then go about 2-3 weeks after that.

We did that this year ('07) and went last week of April--low crowds, short lines and great weather!

really good time to go.

We have been in April and it was very nice. There were a couple of days that we had to wear a light jacket. There was some sort of unusual cold snap but other than that, it was great! Have a great time!!:)

We usually go ver early December. One year we went late April into early May. It was really light crowds but I am not sure if that is normal. :shrug:

It was unually warm at that time. High 90's with really high humidity.

Yeah try not to go during the Easter break if it is in April because then it will be packed. But I think it's a greast time of the year to go, becuase it's usually not to cold and not to hot and the water parks are sure to be open. When I was still in High School we usually went in April or February and April is definitely my preferred time of the two.

You have the right idea. The end of April is always my favorite time to go. Even the 1st week of may is ok. Local schools in FL let out around the middle of May so be back by then.

My wife and I went in May 2 years ago during the Flower Garden Fest and it was a really nice time. We usually go in September. Thus, the weather wasn't too hot, the humidity was lower, less rain, the crowds were light....all in all, a great time.

Check on costs and availability. May be a viable option for you!:wave:

i went in april 04 and had to stay off property because the hotels were full:wave:
book right now! so this won't happen

All the posts have good points......

Try to avoid Spring Break and Easter, and aim for the end of April so you can see the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. It is beautiful!!!!

Also a good time to go to Disney is in September, parks are DEAD!! I got to ride Thunder Mountain twice without getting off because there was nobody in line. COOL!!

You went to Disneyland, now be amazed at our Disney World. Remember 43 Square Miles of Magic, 4 Parks, 2 Water parks, and many resorts. Have FUN!!
