Well finally decided I'm going in September by myself, got a good price through disney, going sept 6th to the 12th. hows the weather, parks etc in September. I always went in may or early June before, just wondering hows it there in September?
The crowds will be very low so it is definitely a good time for that aspect.
Weather is hit or miss but it will most likely be very hot - possibly muggy and rainy. We have usually gone in late October in the past and decided to go early September in 2009 for free dining. I got heat stroke and it was pretty awful. I'm not used to high temps though and I am sure I didn't drink enough prior to getting sick. Just make sure you plan for high temps, drink alot! Once you get sick it doesn't really help you after the fact.
Needless to say, this year we are going in December. But I still really love the fall time of year.
We went this past Sept around the 20th and it was hot. Temps in the mid to upper 90's with heat indexes between 105 and 110. We sweat a lot but the crowd levels were low so we weren't standing in long lines a lot.
Just went September 3-10. Hot and does rain almost every day, but usually for just a short downpour then it stops. As we usually go at Christmas or in July/August, the lack of crowds was like heaven. We walked on almost every ride. Most we waited was 40 minutes at Toy Story, but otherwise it was max 5 minutes.
We were there Sept 5-15th. Although the crowds were unusually heavier than our last September trip, it still beats peak season by miles. Most waits were around 15 minutes. It's still quite warm. Our first trip in September I made the mistake of only packing jeans, won't happen again. Make sure to lather on the deodorant and drink plenty of water and you'll be just fine.
I will say that we've been very lucky when it comes to rain, during all of our trips. On our two September trips, I'd say we've experienced rain maybe 3 times out of roughly 15 days, and those were for a few minutes each time.
