Going for Gold!

Hi, folks!

We're going on a 4-day / 3-day back-to-back cruise in a few weeks on the Dream! We're excited because after this we'll have been on all of the Disney Ships. After the first segment of the cruise, we'll be gold members for the 3-day portion. Are there any activities / advantages for the short 3-day cruises that we'll be able to take advantage of?

There's not really much of a perk to being Gold while you're on board. Before you board, your booking window opens a little sooner than non-Castaway Club members, but that won't help you this time around. There's the Castaway Club reception, but there's no special recognition for being Gold there, either. Once you get to Platinum, you get a free meal at Palo. So that's something to aim for :)

Oh! There's the gold lanyards at check-in and the additional little gold gift in the stateroom. Other than that, what Chuck said. There are free cocktails at the gold/platinum reception. I went to one reception to check it out. Not a big deal. It's more fun with a group of friends, I think.

Yes! Go to the Gold/Platinum reception. It's fun! As others said, not spectacular, but fun! :)
And you'll get an extra little goody in your room.
