I've already absentee voted! First election, woohoo!

But even for elections before, my friends and I used to hold "We're Too Young to Vote Parties--But We Will Anyway" parties b/c it was fun and we decided who won in our little group.

Been there, voted that (not telling!). I voted absentee, and before I mailed it, I made absolutely sure that no chads were hanging or dimpled. :)

I'm going to eat my hanging chads, as for the dimpled ones, I'll just lick them! I can't wait to vote tomorrow morning, I'm going with my mom since my older brother won't...I guess P. Diddy will have to kill him!

I already voted, and am I ever glad I did it early! The polling place near my house was CRAZY today! Cars parked everywhere, people with signs on every corner, and bumper to bumper traffic. I estimate the wait to have been over an hour at 2:30PM, about twice what it was on the weekend.
I voted today...

I waited FOUR FREAKIN HOURS in line. In the hot Florida sun.

**NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!**

(By that, I mean, next time I will get an absentee ballot, and MAIL it in!!!)

Already voted via absentee, and it was IMO a very good decision. So tomorrow I get to volunteer! If any of you are voting at Ormond Beach in precinct 510 tomorrow, I will be outside the front being a poll greater from 7am-1pm, so feel free to stop by and say hi! I can't give the one big hint as to where exactly I will be because that would be who I will be supporting. I'll have a button on and a sign next to me. So hopefully, someone will be in the area and say hi, if you want more info pm me.

I can't vote, but if I could, I'd vote for either my candidate or John Kerry, even though my candidate would have no chance at all. But wouldn't it be cool if Dreamfinder was president?

wow...I think we should adopt the Australian system where you can get arrested if you don't vote :) I'm gonna go out and vote bright and early tomorrow to beat the crowds...even though I'm not in a battleground state...it's all you Floridians that are picking the next president!

May the best candidate win.

As a poll worker, I don't think you're allowed to wear any kind of clothing that is political in nature. Are the rules different in Florida?

You're right. The poll monitors are even discouraged from wearing "uniforms" so as to not appear intimidating. Considering the average age of poll workers is about 73, most have been doing it for years and this isn't an issue. If this guy wears anything along those lines he'll be bringing them back to his car as soon as he gets there, if not sent home entirely.

Edit: But now that i read his post again, it seems that he may just be "volunteering" for a candidate, as opposed to poll worker.
