Yes, I was THERE!!! It was so friggin AWESOME!!!! ME and my friends stormed the field after the game!!!! It was awesome to walk by all of those Michigan Fans after the game and say: "F*** Michigan". Eventhough they are going to the Rose Bowl (which they don't deserve) we are still the better team!!!!! Michigan SUCKS, GO BUCKS!!!!!! Tressel For PRESIDENT, Teddy Ginn IS GOD!!!!! It doesn't work that way, yea OSU played a phenominal game, but Michigan had a great season, and thats why they are going to the Rose Bowl. One game doesn't get you anything in college football because the entire season is a playoff with the BCS rankings. OSU could have had a better season, as could have Michigan, but to say that a team doesn't deserve to go to the Rose Bowl who only lost one game in their conference is just plane insanity. So here's my question, because Michigan State beat Wisconsin does that make MSU the better team? NO. Wisconsin just played a horrible game.

I'm glad OSU beat Michigan. Even though OSU and Michigan both beat State (neither team should have won but that's a different story). I would have rather seen Wisconsin go to the Rose Bowl though for several reasons. Wisconsin (I feel) is a better team than Michigan and they deserve to go because they had such a good season (until State came along and spoiled it! :sohappy: ). I wonder if Michigan and Wisconsin had played each other what the outcome would have been. Another reason why they shouldn't go to the Rose Bowl is because of how they intentionally injured MSU's QB and then admitted to doing it. The other reason why I wish Michigan wasn't going to the Rose Bowl is that I have several friends who go to Michigan who love to do nothing but rub it in. They rubbed it in last year and they'll do it again. I had one friend step over the line this last summer when we worked a band camp together (on MSU campus while working with 11 other people who go to MSU I might add) and really shouldn't have and I don't want it to happen again (which I'm sure it will).

I'm really not terribly fond of the conference championship game, since it usually doesn't pit the top two teams in the league, just arbitrarily splits everybody into two groups and matches the top team from each group. This year, the Big 12's best teams are all in the South, but Oklahoma will have to face a clearly inferior North Division champion to earn the conference crown.
A lot of times, the game is a rematch from a regular season game anyway, so I would just rather see everybody play everybody and name a champion that way. It would be tough in the Big Ten, since 10 out of 11 games would have to be in-conference, but....what the hell, right? Make it a true round-robin and get a true champion, I say.

I too don't agree with the whole splitting up the conference thing, I would just like to see #1 vs. #2 in the standings. In this years case, Michigan vs. Wisconsin. Because we really have no way of knowing who is the better team, yea there are plenty of opinions, but the only way we would actually know is through a playoff. But, if we can't get the playoff, I agree with you 100%, make it a true round robin.

I've been an MSU fan my entire life (I'm a 3rd generation Spartan so I've been brought up to bleed green) and have seen plenty of bad teams and only a few good ones. I know our team isn't the greatest, but this is only our second year with a new coach and the team is young and John L. has admitted that its still in a rebuilding phase. The next few years should be better (hopefully). Even though the team has a losing record, they still had a fairly good season (any team that can spoil Wisconisn's undefeated record deserves to say that) and I'm glad I had tickets to the games and will cheer for them no matter what. And honestly MSU is known more for their Men's Basketball program than their football program. The basketball team has a huge following (4,000+ student ticket holders this year) and always has a good team and this year looks to be no different. I'm more looking forward to basketball season because I know I'll see a lot of good games.
I agree about the "fans" that only support their team when they win. I have several friends like that. Or people who never went to a certain school but are fans only becuase that team is good (90% of Michigan fans).
