ok am i in the twilight zone?-i thought a couple of years back disney agreed to no longer continue GO.COM.they said there were too many other search engines out there and no longer operated it. i just happened to go on it today and its alive and well!-was i in a coma for a couple of years and disney decided to bring go.com back?????:confused:

man i feel really stupid-lol i swore that i read all over the net that they were going to stop go.com due to the saturation of search engines.i remember being bumbed out that they were stopping it.

ok after doing some research im not totally crazy-lol

turns out in jan 2001 disney fired 400 go.com employees and closed its sunnyville,ca office.they also shuttered infoseek which was the search portal for go.com.disney then before killing go.com decided not to shut it down and just not use infoseek and use its competitor goto.com as their portal.they then focused the sight just to be a link to its web sights and other family sights

so now i feel better because i thought i was loosing my mind:brick:
