Going okay...had to spend the entire afternoon on our paperwork, so my brain is fried. :dazzle: Also facing the fact that our desktop isn't still working at its best, so I don't know if it's time to look for something new.
It's a buyer's market, I hear.......

I still have other things to pay for first, I'd rather not buy right now, the system is just really sluggish.
Talked to my FIL yesterday....don't know if I mentioned this, but Mike's grandpa passed away a week or so ago. We received notification that his will had been filed, with Mike's aunt and uncle named as co-execs, etc etc. I didn't know why we were notified of it, till my FIL told us that my late MIL's kids were named in place of her in the will as entitled to an equal share in assets in real estate. Mike and his two brothers are each entitled to a third of what would have been his mothers' share. So now we wait to see what happens.
Mike's grandpa was...eccentric. Never threw anything out, he had two houses...one in the country and one in town with boxes stacked to the ceiling everywhere. :dazzle: Put all his cash in accounts all over town - Mike's aunt and uncle have inherited a nightmare. :hammer:

Wow.
There could be some surprises there.

Well, he was 93 years old, so most likely. I heard about the house in the country when I was dating Mike. There are actually two...the original had no indoor plumbing, then they built a new one, but that never got fully completed. He was kind of a tinkerer, never really finished projects...but after they clear everything out (did I mention there were 2 barns too?), I doubt they can sell anything unless they tear the property down and just sell off the land. There's 40 acres there, all within fairly close proximity to the western side of Columbus.
I just feel like we should offer to help...we aren't super close to any of Mike's family (even less so after MIL passed), but I just feel so bad for the chore they have ahead of them.....

It does sound daunting.

:ROFLOL:

I was joking with Mike they should check all mattresses, attics, and walls. He strikes me as the type to hide things.
My aunt passed away very unexpectedly several years ago. A few years later when her son was remodeling the bathroom they found $30,000 stashed away in the wall.

I was in charge of my uncle's estate. :dazzle:
We found more than $500 stuffed into his recliner.
That spurred a search of just about every nook and cranny, with some interesting results.
