Or, Tim Burton keeps going to the same well again and again. He's something of a one-trick pony.
Irony defined.

[QUOTE="Goofyernmost, post: 6157339, member: 9363"Notice you haven't seen Disney spend money like that for a celebration since then.
\Not to mention that it was built as a pin selling area and had a projected return on investment attached. (And had some other "probable" sinister purpose as well.)
Built in front of The Great Movie Ride, The Sorcerer's Hat debuted on September 28, 2001 as part of the 100 Years of Magiccelebration at Walt Disney World Resort. The structure was inspired by the Sorcerer's Apprentice segment in Walt Disney's 1940 animated film Fantasia. During the celebration, interactive kiosks were installed underneath The Sorcerer's Hat where guests could learn about Walt Disney's life and career. When the celebration ended in early 2003, the kiosks were removed.
It was to Commemorate Walt Disney 100th Birthday with Interactive Kiosks It was never intended to be a Pin Store.
Here's the explanation from Wikipedia..
While your explanation is true, you probably shouldn't use Wikipedia as a source of facts to back up comments. LOL You're right though. The pin store was an afterthought with regard to the open space underneath that God-awful POS.
You could be right, but, I'm not sure that it was never thought of as a retail location when they built it. Possible though. It was to Commemorate Walt Disney 100th Birthday with Interactive Kiosks It was never intended to be a Pin Store.

This is me X's 1,000.
I am so mad that they changed Walt's signature on that logo.
