Our one reservation about going in January or February is the weather... we're looking forward to a hot vacation and though we are Canadian and might not feel it as much, I want it to be warm!! Plus I love the water rides at both WDW and Universal. How did you find the weather down there?

That's a great idea. Those resorts are a bit out of our price range I think but we'll definitely look into them :) it'd be nice to be able to walk back!!

We found the weather to be warm most often. Usually, we wore shorts and t-shirts but at night we may have thrown on a light sweatshirt. One year we actually had to wear jeans and jackets as a couple of days were cold and windy. That was only one time but the other 4 days were warm and pleasant.

Have you looked into renting DVC points at all? You can often stay at a Deluxe for the same price (sometimes even cheaper) than a Moderate. We rented points once when we stayed at Animal Kingdom and saved about $1000 vs booking thru Disney

I go each year in January and the weather is usually perfect - 70-80 degrees. This year, the weather was a bit colder. It wasn't exactly swimming weather. I agree with the Boardwalk / Yacht Club comment as I always stay there. There is just too much in walking distance.
