We just got back from the World. On Thursday, October 5 at about 10:00 a.m. we were at Space Mountain. As we were coming into the exit area after riding the ride and getting out of the vehicles, a little girl (about 8) in front of us just collapsed onto the ground. The dad picked her up and brought her over to the benches there and was holding her on his lap. The mom and their other daughter were standing there. The little girl was passed out and unresponsive. We were right behind them so stopped to see if we could help. My husband had a hanky and we had a water bottle so wet the hanky and the dad applied it to her head. The girl remained unresponsive. The cast members noticed the girl and came over and asked if she needed medical assistance. The dad, at that point, just thought she had fainted and said "no, not yet". We stood there with them for about 15 minutes and she still had not woke up. She was breathing and her eyelids were fluttering but she did not wake up. The dad finally told the cast members they needed medical assistance. We then decided to leave and we left. We've spent the rest of the time we were at WDW wondering if she was okay. I checked this website when we got home and did not see anything and also checked the Sentinel's website and did not notice anything. Did anyone out there hear anything about this incident? Maybe a cast member? I just wanted to make sure she was okay. It was very scary. If I would have been the mom, I think I would have been panicking way before they seemed to become concerned. She was out cold for the 20 or so minutes we stood there with this family before we left.
Because we didn't hear anything on the news, we assumed everything ended up okay but were just wondering if anyone had heard anything.
