Gift Hamper Ideas

Hi.. Wondering if anyone has ever had a gift hamper made and delivered to there resort? I have looked at the Disney ones but there not really what I am looking for. Any ideas would be great. Ideally I wanted a small basket or box with a few small candies or toys for a 8 year old. It does not have to be to big or fancy, just enough as a little birthday gift. I want to add a invitation to the Circus du soleil too.

We are coming from the UK, so its really difficult to make my own and pack in a suitcase along with restrictions on bringing sweets into the states. We are staying at Saratoga Springs Resort.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Take the stuff 'flat packed' and assemble there? Cardboard gift box will collapse flat and add contents when you arrive. Disney themed toys can often be found in the pound shops like avengers foam planes to build or inflatable beach ball for pool-things that take up little weight and room in your case. Some small lego sets could work or make up some "gift vouchers" he can 'exchange' with you for little things like a sundae/keyring/plush toy/milkshake/etc of his choice at the park. A special holiday t-shirt could be bought or made? You could pick up sweets from the resort gift shop.

Thank you, there really great ideas. Just had a look on ebay at flat pack gift boxes which are really cheap. Will check out the 99p shop next. Thanks again

Sorry one more question. Has anyone send a parcel to there resort ready for your arrival? Do they mind excepting them? Found the perfect gift from The Popcorn Factory and couldn't find an up to date answer to this. Thanks

Last time we went, we bought personalized blankets from DisneyStore.com, along with a t-shirt for each of our girls, autograph books, and a small Mickey and Minnie plush. I set them up in the room while the girls were with their dad at the gift shop and told them Mickey dropped by to leave it for them. ;)

You are able to send items to your resort ahead of time so they are waiting for you when you arrive. To make sure things go smoothly be sure to add the following to the resort shipping address:

Saratoga Springs Resort
Guest: (name on the reservation)
Arrival: (date)
[follow with remainder of hotel address]

This will help the resort staff link the package to your reservation, and have it waiting for you when you check in.

It depends on the resort. If a resort has a convention facility, you will be charged a fee for them accepting the package. (Policy in place for people shipping down trade show type materials) If they don't have a convention facility, then they will accept it no problem and should have it waiting at the desk when you check in, or deliver it as soon as they get it. As a PP said, including "Guest John Doe" with you arrival date helps them to get it to you. Keep in mind if it goes USPS it may take a few days longer as apparently it goes to an offsite location to be "delivered" and then from there to property and then eventually to your resort. FedEx/UPS should go right to the resort.
