We will be staying at the POP but we have reservations for lunch/dinner at other resorts. What is the best way to get to that resort? I don't remember if there is a bus that comes to POP that will take you to Animal Kingdom Lodge or any other hotel....:veryconfu

What i was thinking is we would have to go to a park and transfer to that resorts bus there but that seems like it would take a while..

There is no bus There are many different ways to get around, to get to the AK lodge, you could catch the bus to dtd or ak and switch busses to your desired resort. It takes a bit of planning to figure it out, but it can be done, the hting is to go to a park and switch busses as the parks have busses to all resorts. We have doen this with every resort we have stayed, just plan enough time, thats the only thing.

^^ thats what i was thinking we would have to do. I guess our best bet would be going to a park and getting on a bus there since there wont be anyone getting on a bus to head back to a resort, so there shouldnt be a line to wait in there....but heres why i asked the questions.

we have breakfast reservations at Boma and Im not sure what time the buses actually show up to take you places. I know that the parks dont open untill 9..

Going through one of the parks is the only free way to get to another resort. It won't cost you any money but it will definitely cost you plenty of time. For example, POP to Animal Kingdom could take you at least 30 minutes. Once at AK you could wait another 20+ min just for an AKL bus to show up. After a bus gets there it is at least 10 minutes before you get to to AKL depending on how fast people load/unload the bus. My preferred method of travel between resorts is a taxi unless I have 1-2 hours of spare time available to get where I am going.

Getting to breakfast can be even more of a challenge. Buses to the parks begin running an hour before park opening but once you make it to a park, going back to a resort can prove nearly impossible. All the buses at that point in the day are focused on getting people TO the parks so many won't even be running in a loop (ex- the bus drops guests staying at AKL off at AK but it then might go to Port Orleans empty to get new guests) . Also, if your breakfast ADR is prior to 8am your only option is a taxi.

I would ask the concierge at your hotel. It used to be that if your breakfast reservation was before buses were readily available they could order special transport. Sometimes it would be an early bus, other times they'd send a dedicated van. It has been years since I did this so I'm not sure it is still in affect, but they did it at one time.

Make sure you call at least the day before and have your reservation number handy.

You know what hit me while I was at work? We will have our own car since we drove down there! We can just use our own car! Duh Nicole.

I guess being used to Disney transport made me forget about our car lol

We did this our first trip and it was a pain, especially for breakfast reservations. We get a rental car each time now and its much easier and worth it rather then waiting for buses

hello check with the front desk on check in and the night before we have stayed at pop many times and they had buses run early for some of the breakfast runs, they are usually good about getting you to were you need to be. we have has busses take us from one resort to the next just by asking the driver and having them call in another bus, cant say they do it all the time but, it hasn't failed yet. just ask the front desk.
