Getting to Disney's Boardwalk

We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge, and have never been to the Disney Boardwalk area.

What is the best way to get there? We will have a car...can we drive and park?

Thanks!

Yes, you can drive and park. However, in the 4-5 times I have drove and parked there, we found it to be quite a problem getting past the security kiosk. We always said that we had reservations at a resturaunt at the Boardwalk. They don't want people parking and walking over to Epcot for free, so they are pretty careful. You really shouldn't have a problem though!

NO ONE checked us at The Swan. We just parked and walked in. It's a very short walk to the Boardwalk; just go through the main lobby and turn right at the boat dock, go over the "hill," and you're there. You could also park at The Dolphin, but the walk is a little longer.

Usually you will have no problem with a Disney Resort pass on your car.

But we often park at the Dolphin , The next right after the main drive way, It is self parking for guests and dinning no guard. Then we just walk through the lobby and down to the boats. You might even stop at thier soda shop on the way back. There icecream and burgers are good thier also.

We drove from the WL to the Beach Club. Parked in guest parking and wandered thru the lobby out the back door and walked over to the Boardwalk. Never were asked where we were going by anyone. (though we did eat at Cap May, which I highly recommend.) A few days later we drove over after mini golf and had dinner at the ESPN club...another good meal. If you have a parking pass from one WDW hotel they won't bother you.(at least they never bother us.)

Since you are staying on property there should be no problem parking at the boardwalk. They usually just wave you through if you have a Disney Pass in your car.
