Hello fellow Disney fanatics!! Me and my family are currently 33 days out from what we hope will be a super fun vacation. With that being said I was just curious to know what the other Disney crazies thought. It will be me (24), my girlfriend (22) my little brother (17) and my mom (50). Those are are ages. Please let me know if anything looks like it will be too rough:

Tue.- Plaza for dinner (7:35)

Wed. - Chef Mickey's for dinner (8:05)

Thur.- Sci-fi for lunch (11:15)
Mama Melrose's for dinner (4:10)

*Fantasmic @ 9

Fri.- Plaza for dinner (5:00)

Sat.- Coral Reef for lunch (11:45)
Le Cellier for dinner (7:15)

Sun.- 1900 Park Fare for breakfast (9:00)
Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner (7:55)

Mon.- 50's Prime Time for dinner (7:00)

I hope you guys give some good feedback!!

Are you on DDP? If so, the critique changes...a lot of your choices don't wring the dollars out of the cost of the DDP - Plaza for example is very inexpensive and I can't justify using a TS credit to eat there while on the DDP. Paying out of pocket is another matter entirely.

That side, you've selected what I feel are some of the most mediocre restaurants on property (Plaza, Chef Mickey's, Mama Melrose's, 50's Prime Time). Again, this is my personal opinion.

I avoid eating at DHS at all costs. Even the Derby is spotty in my experience and I won't risk it. I'll propose my alternatives so you can see how I would have booked it:

Instead of Plaza, I would choose Wave at the Contemporary.

Instead of Chef Mickey's, I would choose Garden Grill at Epcot.

Instead of Mama Melrose's, I would choose a World Showcase restaurant such as Chefs de France, or a BoardWalk joint like Kouzzina. (It looks like you may be doing the Fantasmic package, so that probably factored into your choice)

Instead of Plaza round 2, I would choose 'Ohana at Polynesian.

Instead of 50's Prime Time, I would choose Yak & Yeti or Boma.

I like a lot of variety in my options - you can always look at menus online to see if a place has something everyone in your group can enjoy.

Again, these are just my thoughts - the important thing is that YOU enjoy what you set up! :)

Looks like you guys made some good choices, I'd try to avoid eating at the same place twice in one trip though.

I think you will get tons of opinions on if you should change and what you should change to. I think you made good choices and should just stick with them. You obviously made your choices based on your preferences and reasons and picked places you wanted to try. I personally like places others don't sometimes and don't always like what others think is great. So I say keep your choices and have a great time trying them out. If you don't love somewhere you will know for the future. Also, I don't think picking a place just to "maximize" the dining plan should be a consideration- more expensive isn't always better and I happen to have really enjoyed The Plaza. Perhaps I would agree with the above poster that the one thing I might not do is choose the same place twice in one trip only because there are so many great options to try. Have a great trip- I have eaten at many of your choices and you will have a great experience!

i like the plaza for standard american food that isn't a hamburger but i agree that on the ddp it's not the best value. i personally don't like ltt for dinner but like their lunch offerings but that's just my taste. i know when i go with a mixed group i have to take into consideration what everyone will/won't eat so that makes a big difference on where i book. you'll have a great time no matter what so don't freak out about all the different opinions you get on these boards.

Your choices look good to me. Looks like something I'd do. I LOVE Plaza and looks like you may have been there before and that's why you're choosing to do it twice. I could easily do that myself. We love the environment of Sci-Fi too. Don't like to pass that place up myself.

I wouldn't let others sway you too much. You picked what you wanted for a reason and you don't want to go somewhere else just to get the most bang for your buck and end up not liking the place and wishing you would've stuck to your original plans.

Have fun and enjoy!!

I question the Plaza as well. Your TS could be used much better in a number of other places. As far Mama Melrose, I know I am in the minority around here, but we actually like it. I love the diavolo and the pizza is good.

I agree with you. I'd dump that Mama Melrose (unless you have it b/c you're doing a Fantasmic pakage) and go to Epcot. If you can get into Via Napoli, it's probably the best one TS credit on site. Otherwise, Chefs de France is really good. They somehow manage to make food cooked for huge crowds tastes like it's made in small batches. The bread could be better though.

I don't know if I'd have two Plazas either. Could you exchange the two Plazas for one California Grill? The food is really good and since you don't have small children with you, you have a lot of options. Even Yachtsman would be a nice choice.

The biggest issue of course is that you're pretty late in the game for making ADRs. If you can't change these, keep what you have but maybe consider trying for a walk up or a same-day reservation.

My only thought is that you may want to move Thursday's dinner at momma melrose later? Your at sic fi for lunch at 11:15 and then dinner at 4:10, just my two cents.

Thanks for the advice guys!! I am currently working on updating our ADR's. The only exception that I wont make is the Plaza!!! I LOVE that place!!! It is cheap but its in a great location and the Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches are TO DIE FOR!!! Their milk shakes go great with a burger too, hence the two different occasions eating there!! haha

Mama Melrose is in place because of FANTASMIC (which we have unfortunately never seen) that night, but I'm looking at moving to an Epcot meal. Maybe to a brunch any suggestions there?

You guys are great and I really appreciate all the feedback!! Tons of help!!!
