Get up Sleepy Heads!

Our disney routine is to get up around 7 (although I am up more like 5-6!) and get to the parks for 9am rope drop since we do not do EMH and then we go to sleep around 8 since we're always soooooo tired from the day, then do it all again!

I'm up early at home. so I wake up the usual time as normal at Disney. Its nice to get up go to the food court before all the crowds and its nice and quite to start the day before all the noise at the parks. Sometimes we make opening sometimes we don't. Just go at our own pace. Saying this we have been to Disney many, many times as we live only 3 hours south.

I am usually a morning person, DH is not! I am usually up around 6:30 - 7 am, weekend or not. DH likes to sleep in so no rope drop most of the time. I don't fight it anymore, I get up make breakfast, roam the campground. finally around 9 ish he' s moving about . We try to have longer stays so we don't feel the need to be at a certain place by a certain time.. I know that seems shocking to many people here but many times we don't decide on what park to go to until that morning.

We are NOT a family of morning people but when at Disney we are at rope drop every day - and for early EMH if we can finagle it. The more early uncrowded time in the parks, the better! Breakfast is sometimes cereal in the room that I bring from home or else it's really early to the food court for a fast bite to eat.

For me and my family it depends on the day and night before. If it was a rough day and late night we sleep in to about 7:30.If it was a nice relaxing day it's up and away at around 6:00.We usually stay enough days to were we can alternate late and early risings and it works pretty well for us.On our last trip in dec. we made the opening for every park at least once, and at Epcot i was the very first person in the park. That has never happened before and i just thought it was cool.So back to the original question it all depends on the day i guess, no set in stone wake times.

I am not a morning person at all until I get to Disney World and then magically getting up at 5 am is not a problem. However with a little one we have to transition her to the early mornings a week before we leave so she gets on schedule.

I am an insomniac. When I don't have work, I'm usually not up till almost noon. At Disney I force myself to get up early. I wake up, slap myself a few times, go for a quick run, and shower. I'm still the walking dead afterwards at the rope drop. When I finally get around to having coffee (I wait till in the park to avoid the Nescafe in the food courts) I perk up. I'm willing to make the sacrifice though. It just really makes the whole day much easier when you knock out all of the big rides early on.

If we go to a park twice, we do one day getting there at rope drop and the other day we sleep in and show up around 10/11. I'm on vacation, I need to sleep in at some point.

My first trip to Disney, I was sleepless the whole night because of how excited I was about the trip. Woke up at 8, everyone got ready by 9. We stayed at Magic Kingdom till 11pm. Had to see Wishes before we left! I passed out in the car. Now whenever I go to Disney, it's never before 2pm, lol.
