Of Course.

I'm just waiting for the lines to go from a 45 min wait to a 15 min wait!

There are 10 constitutional amendents on the ballot....and most voters haven't read them yet, so do it at the polls! :hammer:

Then you have the people who only vote when someone rounds them up, so they aren't on the current rolls....and usually don't bother to bring any sort of valid ID! That means poll workers have to get them to fill out an affidavit, and their voting status has to be checked downtown before the vote counts.

And of course, you have the people who can't follow directions, so have to recast a ballot....or complain about it later!

Ain't democracy wonderful?
 But (IMO)it still beats all of the alternatives! :)

I just finished reading the amendments and referendums for my state online so I'll be ready this afternoon. I hate going in and voting blindly.

I wish!

I'm sorry about the previous post! I was just venting my frustration at all of the people (of all different political persuasions) who have taken a basic concept...vote for people to represent you in government...and twisted and manipulated it to suit their own agendas!

Some of these amendments have nothing to do with constitutional rights!

However, I will go and cast my vote. It is not only a right, but also a responsiblity and duty. I would be dishonoring the memory of those who fought (and continue to fight) to preserve, or be granted, the same right that so many in this country treat so nonchalantly.

Yes...not only have I already voted, but I'm helping out at the polling place. I was there at 5:30 this morning and I'm going back at 1pm.

There is a placard over the door of our polling place with a quote from President James Garfield written in 1877.

"Now more than ever the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption."
(How apropos 125 years later)

...try to vote, folks... a lot of men and women have fought and died to preserve this very precious right!!!

I wonder if Miami-Dade or Palm Beach counties will screw something up this time?

Well, if goes anything like the "early" votes, I'm sure they won't be letting Jay Leno down...

Yes I voted.

Yesterday they were predicting that because of rain, the turn-out will be reduced at the voting polls.

Personally, I used a little invention called the umbrella, and fortunately, I can walk to my neighborhood polling place.

We had 12 Amendments on the ballot, and our newspaper only had one sentence descriptions of what they were about, so I re-read them at the polling place which posted the full explanation of each amendment.

Arkansas, Minn., Colorado all may have big disputes after tonight's senate races.

Arkansas has already had a lot of challenged ballots, suplimentary ballots (some races not on the ballot), etc.

It's going to be a fun night and couple of weeks.
