German ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter Knockoff

So for about the past week I've been researching more on ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter. I even posted a thread concerning the ride a few days ago. I was just about to take a break from the attraction, but then I stumbled on... this.

"Encounter" at a German carnival called "Palmkirmes Recklinghausen" is an absolutely shameless copy of AE. Now I'm sure that they signed some contract with Disney or something (if they didn't then this is completely illegal) and it's not as if it will ruin the classic Disney attraction. But still, it's baffling. The outer facade isn't too similar, but a giant screen plays the Disney promo for AE (yeah, they're advertising an attraction they don't have). The ride system and even some themes are eerily reminiscent too.

Now, I don't understand German and I'm sure the plot isn't straight outta Tomorrowland, but many elements like aliens, theater-in-the-round, sensory effects, teleportation, technology and an overall dark tone are stolen.

The show itself, I don't even know, again I don't know German. I'm gonna assume that it's essentially AE minus the imagination and creativity. The best thing I can really say is that I guess this is the closest thing to a modern Alien Encounter (or, if your like me, you'll just stick to SGE). It's not even because it's bad, rather that it's downright confusingly odd. I'd like to discuss this down below.

Now there are some real problems here, like the promotional videos and in my opinion the odd design in general, but at the end of the day nothing is original and it seems like for the most part it is a dark tone. The only real knock off since the original does not exist anymore is the horrible ripping of promoting something that the experience is not from Disney's Attraction.

Aside from that, even Disney took 100 percent of opening Day Disneyland with a better more presentable business model of treating the customers like guests.
If they just did not go for sleezy ripping of promotional materials, I would say, great on them for doing an experience that is automatically better looking than SGE.

Hey, dont they know this rides no good if theres not a chili burrrp..... Well Disney probably could care less that they are doing this. Theyve abandoned the attraction long ago and have no desire to return the AE concept into the parks. We wouldnt want anyone irreparably harmed by being thrilled.

Aside from a few AE clips it's hardly a knock off. Same as Nemesis Sub Terra in the U.K.

Just a show in the round in the dark that tries to scare. There's no copyright on that.

The ride system used is virtually the same, it follows a similar plot, and also use AE promotional footage. It's obviously a knockoff.

This is actually made by the same person who created Soarin. Disney doesn't own the idea of a hang gliding ride.
I Finally had a opportunity to try it out and find it to be pretty fun....They had two films USA and Hawaii...But, the difference is the gliders don't rise up to the screen they do what Flight of Passage vehicles push up to the screen..

That's really cool you got to try it out. Thanks for sharing!

Disney's hands aren't clean either when it comes to ride ripoffs.
The indoor themed launched coaster concept that is RnRC was plucked from an Outer Limits indoor coaster at Kings Island and Kings Dominion. The name RnRC was taken verbatim from a coaster that once existed at the closed Opryland theme park in Nashville, and just added Starring Aerosmith.

This was at the time when Paramount parks were trying to compete with Disney utilizing Sci fi franchizes...

But, here's the weird thing about it....Twilight Zone is a subsidiary of CBS and Viacom which is under Paramount..Whereas The Outer Limits was under UA/MGM and aired on ABC..I guess the idea using aliens in a tower don't fit right than a mysterious hanger that takes you to the Outer Limits...However after Paramount parks left they dropped the OL IP title and no plot is Given now going into said hangar to ride the coaster
