*NEW* Storm

Ok, guys, this is a post dedicated to the storm Idea, as I can see it will take awhile to decide on what we are going to do...

FIRST I want us to decide on a date and time to meet and chat in rea-time so we can iron out our ideas, and come out with a nice, fresh, clean, fun, and imaginative product. Since we are planning on merging our ideas, it is of the utmost importance that we get together and TALK. The chat room is waiting :) Just put the times you will be able to talk in the next few weeks

good we finnaly got out of that 9 page chat. I've been waiting since I joined the society half way through the posts. If ya'lls ride is still what I think it is, there already is a storm ride in Tokyo Disney Sea where they put you in a storm. I don't know if you've guys know this so I'm just letting you know.

Yeah, on that God awful 9 page long post, some where in there, is a description of that ride..While it has been described as a fun ride ( I haven't been on it) it is a motion simulator, and wouldn't be as fun to design as this one is...

Why dont we make the 4 diffrent "EMV" vehicles talk to each other..... In other words have them react to diffrent programings making them have diffrences in dialog etc... It would be cool if we had a water vortex like " Posiden's Fury" ... Near the end....

Not sure how a horizontal water tunnel would work..but..

The different cars-
What I had in mind was that two cars would leave at the same time, and each would have a different path, at someparts, the cars would be running parallel to each other, other parts they will split up, each will have a unique track. At one point in the ride, a voice on the speaker would say, "We've lost track of the other car.." and you'd drive up to find the debris of the other, this would be the point in the ride where both of the vehicles are split up permenantly

I know this is in the planing stages but I think you don't see very many rides like this is because you probably can not get the cars to meet up at the same time each ride sequence due to families taking a long time to get in and out of the ride or a handicaped person. This will cause backups and the ride to stop in the middle of the storm which would look really weird. Maybe it could be fake car with fake guests in it i.e. animatronics. If there is a way around this problem it would be really cool.

The two cars Would load at the same time, and would be released at the same time, so you don't have to worry about load and unload times.
And yes, the car I was talking about WOULD be fake..I wasn't actually going to destroy the other car! :) Unless it's fulll of mean, stinky people that cut in line...Or some of those screaming children that refuse to shut-up even though they are in the happiest place on earth...:fork: :goodnevil

I was thinking this would be a good scene for the propane area, the two cars would split up once they get to the quick-lite propane co., and go on seperate paths. One path would be considerably longer then the other (about 15 seconds longer), so that one would arrive before the other. Right where the two tracks converge into one, would be a flipped car that is steadily burning, so you can't see any of the passengers...then it would move on just as the other car arrives...That way both vehicles think the other one was destroyed

In the loading": will you be able to see the other car before you leave??? " Will they both be visible from each other?

I still think that there might be problems if one car is having problems with people loading then the other track will have to wait and there will be a back up in the ride, leaving guests sitting in the storm. Maybe there would be a way to leave a time pocket to allow for these delays. If the ride is long enough then it might not be a problem.

I can see what you mean, but these would be so rare, that I doubt it would make much difference. The main problem that can occur is loading a handicapped person, which will take a moment or two extra to get them ready. We could mosty likely come up with a new way to load them in, perhaps a few cars with specially designed seats to accomodate them. We would just ask them to wait for one of these cars to come up.

Time gaps could also be avoided by increasing effeciency. Making sure groups are all sorted about before the car gets there, and giving instruction so everyone gets in the car, sits and is ready to go faster.

And if it is absolutly neccesary, a car can be sent out by itself, the story would just have a slight gap in it. There could be a seperate area for a car that is having loading problems to pull into, so the problem can be rectified, and returned into the system, without causing a long waiting time

Ah, nothing much. Same ideas. Just looking at the possibilities of multiple track paths.
