hi everyone im 23 and just revelled to my parents im gay they are very upset but ive allways known im gay its been a very hard few years but now that im out of the closet i feel great
is there any more gay guys who use wdwmagic please dont hate me for putting this message on this board
or is wdw gay friendly or not as im very knew to all the gay thing and do u think there is many gay cast members?

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, WDW has some (understatement) gay CMs, and wdwmagic also has some gay posters.

We also have several minority members, people of different Christian denominations, a scattering of people representing other religions, people from several different countries, a few rich and poor members (with most being fairly middle class), people with advanced degrees, and people who might not even have a HS diploma. We have members who have special challenges, or someone close to them is facing difficulties.Unless something relating to any of these things happens to come up in a topic , neither I nor anyone else would have any way of knowing which members fall into which catergories.

What I'm trying to say is I would prefer to be labeled as someone interested in Disney (a Disneyholic? :lol and the rest of it doesn't really matter. It's not that it's unimportant...of course it's important. It just isn't AS important on this board as sharing our common interest in Disney. (Notice that I didn't say love or like...many people have become disillusioned with the corporation...but never with The Mouse himself! )

There are few things more difficult than telling your parents something they don't want to hear. I hope they come around soon; they are your parents after all and I am certain they must love you very much.

I think you may find some kindred spirits here who can help you get over the initial "coming out" period. On the flip side, there will always be people who might give you a hard time, but your love life doesn't affect them in any way, so just ignore them.

You are who you are! Welcome!!! I hope the next few years are easier on you :wave:

Umm... what does campest mean?
IT`s great that you are coming to grips with your sexuality,but what I would like to know is why some gay people think that they have to scream it to the world?
I like people no matter what they`re sexual preferance is I just don`t want to know what they do in the privacy of their own bedroom wether they are straight,gay or bi sexual and in screaming "I`m gay" that in a sense is what you are doing. telling people what you do in the bedroom.Now I don`t want to offend anyone with these statements that`s not my intention. but I want to picture these great people in these boards in the HAPPIEST place on earth,at Disney world not in the bedroom! LOL! BUt OrlandoUK,I hope your parents come around,I`m sure they love you very much!

Congrats dude, that's a really big step for a lot of gay people.

Just remember, you're still the same person you were before.. nothing new about you, now you're just not lying to anyone. That's about the only advice I know, from working in the gay hub of the universe for the last 4+ years
