I'm not sure if I've shared this with you all, but about a year ago, my dad was diagnosed with Heptocelluar Carcinoma, or primary liver cancer. It was truly a miracle that we found a surgeon able to take it out - being that prognosis for this disease is not usually good. I just found out WHF's grandpa has been taken to the hospital last night.

See his grandpa (Poppy) has a large plot of land. So large that he has a golf cart to help him get around. Well, he didn't put the brake on the golf cart a few weeks ago and it went rolling down the hill. Poppy chased after it and fell down, hurting his side and causing internal bleeding.

He was supposed to stay off his feet for 10 hours a day, but watch for dizzyness. I guess he got dizzy b/c they took him to the hospital last night. WHF is really upset, I can tell...and there's nothing I can do for him. :(

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers for my dad. We got through this once, despite the odds, who's to say we won't again?

We're going to try and have a minister and a rabbi. Problem is there isn't a very big rabbi pool in Nebraska. Let alone finding one willing to do an interfaith ceremony. We did find one...only one so far. Thing is...he's also ordained as a priest? :shrug: I don't really get it, but I think we'd rather have 2 people officiate if we're doing both. Might get too confusing otherwise.

Excuse me, but the way you put that just made me lose it. :ROFLOL::ROFLOL::ROFLOL:


I don't know how one could be ordained as a rabbi and a priest. :shrug: Just wondered if you would do the canopy and step on the glass and all that....guess I've seen Fiddler on the Roof too much. :o 'Sunrise, Sunset'....

Yup we'll do the canopy (Hoopa), and the glass. My family wants us to do the "Hava Nagila" (sp?) chair dance too. I just think that would be too much for people :rolleyes::lol:
