Gargoyles Comic

I just recently ordered from a place in FL for a few issues I couldn't find up here. They are called Demolition Comics. Worked out pretty well, I plan to order from them again. (Not sure if you know them or not but their website lists their different locations in Fl.)

Coleseum of Comics (I think that is that name) is a great store as well. A friend of mine lives in FL (works in the Magic Kingdom) and whenever I visit he takes me to his local comic stores. Nice places, puts some of the ones here in NJ to shame.
Been to the Collesium of Comics in Kissimmee, it's a nice store. I like Bad Apple Comics myself. It's across from the Florida Mall and it has a great pull service. :)

Fables is a really good book, where even little things from the first issue have meaning 50 issues later. Very well written. If you do read it and enjoy it, there is a spin off book, Jack of Fables, which is just as good.

There are a lot of fantasy or fairy tale comics out there, but Fables is really the only one that is top notch.

Someday I'll have time to catch up with all my reading, sometime... I seem to always be at work so I never really have time for it right now LOL.

I know the feeling. I have a stack of comics still to read, as well as a stack of books to read. The only time I get to read is basically on my lunch break. At home I am way too busy, so other than maybe one comic a day at home, I do my reading during lunch.

It also doesn't help that I keep buying more comics and books to read that add to that ever growing pile.

Understood. I finally told myself I'm not buying anymore books till I finish the ones I already have. We'll see how long that lasts cause there are currently alot of books out that I want :).

I said the same thing, and for a while was doing good reading what I already have, but that didn't last too long and I wound up buying some new things to add to the list. I'm going to try and hold off until Christmas though, I'll most likely get gift cards for Barnes and Noble from relatives, and that will go to new books, whether they are novels or graphic novels though I haven't decided, since there are a lot from both categories that I want.

In the meantime, I am back to reading what I already own.

Did you get the Superman/Doomsday DVD that came out? I haven't seen it yet and I am not sure if it is worth getting or not.

I want it SOOOO badly but I haven't gotten it yet. Maybe this week if I can afford it :) :) :).

Newsarama has a link up with pictures to the up coming animated New Frontier cartoon coming out. Looks pretty good. I still need to read that comic.

Did you get any comics today?

I'll go get mine later today. I know I have some coming out but I'm not sure how many off the top of my head. Enough I'd bet LOL.

I picked up a few today. Jack of Fables, Green Lantern Corps, Justice Societ (had GL on the cover), new Previews (always like to look through that to see what is going on in the comic world) and a few other issues of things just to check out.

I enjoy a light comic week whenever I can, it lets me check out books I don't normally pick up.

Did you get Gargoyles Bad Guys #1? I think it came out this week. Or is it next?

It did come out this week and I did get it :) :). I got about 10 books. I don't think I know what a light week is anymore which means I'm not getting any trades lately *sad face*.

I think I got: JLA Classified (omg so good this week, I loved the story), Teen Titans (good but ehhh I want this story to wrap), Countdown to Mystery, Countdown to Adventure, Superman Annual (backup and casefiles were good I never was a big fan of the first storyline (Camelot Rules), Gargoyles Bad Guys (haven't read yet), Batman (haven't read yet), Shadowpact (good, quick read), Countdown (lots of things happened this issue), Horsemen (brutal but I started the miniseries so I have to finish it).

I usually hit a second comic store on Sunday. There I find anything my usual shop doesn't carry, and I dig through their dollar box, which they have a lot of, so it should be boxes, and find some pretty cool treasures.

I'll have to order Gargoyles Bad Guys from Midtown comics soon.

Do you plan on watching the Sci Fi Channel show Tin Man this weekend? I'm going to check it out, hopefully it will be good.

Oh, a Disney related question: do you collect pins?

I WANT to see it so badly however we are DVRing so many things I don't know if we can DVR one more. And I only have time to watch things on my days off. If they have it to watch online I might do that. Or try and catch it in reruns.

I used to collect pins and there are a few that I still get when I see certain characters. Why?

I picked up the first rade to Pau Dini's Detective Comics today, as well as the first trade in the Y:The Last Man series.

I collect pins as well, though only when I get down to Disney World. I sometimes get them off of ebay if there is something I need. I try to limit the pins to only the ones or movies I really like. I have two pretty cool ones for Gargoyles. I wish they would make more of those.

If Tin Man is good enough I hope they put it on a DVD to buy. Sci Fi Channel's website has a link to a Tin Man site that has a Tin Man comic on it. It was pretty good, I guess it is a prequel to the actual show.

What do you do for a living? I work in an office. Not the most exciting job, but it is a paycheck!

I actually work for Disney. I'm outside alot. I have an amazing job however I am looking for more of a career.

Pin wise I have some really cool limited editions and ones from overseas or Disneyland. I don't usually get rack pins. Most of my pins are really special.

A good friend of mine works in Magic Kingdom. He started off in a Disney Store here in NJ, then in NY for a while, then made his dream come true and moved to FL to work. I see him every year when I come down.

Have you seen the new pictures of Heath Ledger as the Joker for the new Batman movie? What do you think?

Where does he work at the MK?

Yes I have... so very very scary!

He kind of bounces around from the Main Street Camera Expo to the Movie Theatre (or what remains of it) to the pin cart to the watch store.

Heath Ledger looks pretty great for the Joker. I like how he looks, but now I really want to see him perform and see how crazy he is with the costume and make up.

I wonder if they will ever add Robin to the series?

It snowed here in NJ today, not too bad, about an inch or so, and it is 24 degrees. So, after shoveling the side walk and clearing off my car, I went to a comic shop and looked around the dollar bins. Found a few things to give to some friends as Christmas presents, so not a bad haul!
