Garden Grocer?

I'm flying in and not renting a car, but wanted some groceries for my room. Has anyone used GardenGrocer.com? Their site says $12 delivery to WDW hotels - which sounds a lot cheaper than a cab . . . .too good?

I used Garden Grocer for our May trip and they were great. In fact, I need to get on the ball and place my order for our January trip soon. I ordered online, payed via PayPal, and my order was delivered to Bell Services at my resort (POFQ) within an hour of our arrival. We ran up to Bell Services, grabbed our groceries, put some drinks and the milk in the fridge, and we were off on our adventure. The service was extremely convenient. No problems here. I'm comfortable recommending them to others as well.

Yes, it was a $12 delivery fee but it was worth the convenience of not shopping or paying a cab or taking the time away from my vacation. I think there was like a $40 minimum that I had to meet. Originally I only wanted to order 1/2 gallon skim milk, some bottled water, bottled Dr.Pepper (they don't sell this on property and hubby has to have it), and laundry soap. I had to order a few other items to meet the minimum so I added fresh grapes and bananas. The produce was fresh. The grapes were juicy and sweet. The fruit ended up being a welcome treat for late night or early morning snacks. :slurp:

I've never used them but I've heard of them a lot and it's usually in very good light. If you can't / don't want to make it to a store then use them!

We have used wegoshop.com several times and they have been great. This difference is that wegoshop will go to any store for you and get what you want. You aren't limited to the items they carry like the garden grocer.

NO bottled Dr. Pepper on property? That's good to know to add to our Garden Grocer order. Thanks.

Yes, I know. My hubby is from Texas even tho we haven't lived here but a fraction of our married life. I wake up in the morning in a fog stumbling around until I get coffee...he's in the same boat until he gets his Dr.Pepper. LOL! In the past we've occasionally found Mr.Pibb in the vending machines out by the bus depots at the parks and it's generally a tearful, touching moment that I photograph for posterity. Thankfully we've traveled enough to have a sense of humor when you're at a restaurant, ask for Dr.Pepper, and the waitress/waitor tell us they don't have it but they DO have root beer. LOL! Totally opposite ends of the soft drink spectrum for a Dr.Pepper man. LOL! Get your order into Garden Grocer. We get the 6 packs of bottles because we can tuck 'em into the side pockets of the backpack and pour them over ice later in the day. :slurp:
