Garden Grocer vs. Amazon Pantry

I've never used Amazon Pantry. I have an account with Garden Grocer. Have absolutely no complaints with Garden Grocer. Our home resort is AKL-Kidani Village. Our groceries have always been waiting for us in bell services. After our arrival, I just phone bell services and have groceries delivered to villa. The groceries are paid and tip is paid before we depart from from home. I tip bell services too when groceries are brought to villa.

I could not stomach the prices of GG. I still felt it was way too much money for what we wanted/needed

I love the convenience of GG but yes the prices are higher than if you went to the store yourself and bought the items. It's all about the convenience, and I would usually gladly pay a service charge and tip to get items delivered rather than taking time out of my park day to go grocery shop haha. It's super easy, you order online and they deliver the items to the bell service who will hold your items until you return to the resort or sometimes deliver the groceries right to your room! We've never had an issue with GG even when ordering fresh fruit (I'm super picky and was wary about letting someone else pick out my bananas). A good cheap option is to use Uber now that they have service down in Disney. You can catch a car to Publix and then one back for about $10 plus tip, and you're first trip up to $20 is free when you get the app, it's just a matter of planning out time to do the shopping.

In the past we rented a car and went to Walmart - We had a 6 month old with us (as well as the teenagers) and I spent $250!!! (including baby food, diapers and wipes for 9 days)... I was in shock when I saw the total, but it was worth it... We don't do parks on the first day, so we weren't missing anything... I didn't want to have to rent a car and go through all that again, but I will if it saves me money. I just wanted to see what my options were.

We use Garden Grocer every single trip and love using them! Never had any problems and you can buy cold stuff like you need like milk and other cold grocery items. Your hotel will keep the cold items in s fridgerator for you until you arrive. You cannot get the cold items from Amazon. Also with Amazon your package could take longer to arrive due to UPS/fedex etc if they have weather delays or other issues like damaging your package/items(has happened to me many times with shipped items) etc.
Another perk to GG If you place your order 60 days or more ahead with GG you get 10% off your whole order or 5% don't remember. You can always add items to the order if need be anytime after that.

FWIW I packed those single serve milk boxes in our suitcases. My mom ordered the almond milk via prime. Even though the milk that way is more $$ it was still cheaper than GG

We fly. I have no intention of paying for a rental car. GG shops mostly at Publix. I do too in my home state. We eat organic too. I found the prices to be in line with what I normally pay. In our villa, we have a full kitchen. We do not use a dining plan, nor do we eat out everyday. The costs and convenience (in my opinion) balance. When I find a service I like, I generally stick with it. I love Garden Grocer.

You left out WeGoShop in your comparison.
Garden Grocer has their selection available on their website along with the posted prices. I have found the prices to be marked up fairly heavily over what I would expect to pay in the store. Good - you know what you will be charged up front. Bad - a heavy markup plus the service fees they charge.
WeGoShop doesn't have a listed selection, as they are basically a personal shopper. They will take whatever list you give them, and go to the stores you want them to go to. (And use coupons if you have them) You then pay the exact price on the receipt, plus their service charge. Good - cheaper and able to shop wherever you want. Bad - no idea what the prices will be depending on whatever sales are going on.
Amazon Panty has a pretty limited selection. Works good if you want/need shelf stable food, but no options for perishables. Good - known prices, and what they do sell can be pretty cheap. Bad - limited selection, with no fresh food or dairy.
Comes down to what you want/need and how much control you want/need.

No it's boxed milk that doesn't need to be in fridge till opened. Like the horizon milk boxes

I see. I think I'm going to look into amazon prime and just stop at a convenience store for milk before getting into Disney.

No you do not have to let them know if GG is delivering for you. They deliver for many people everyday. GG also you don't have to worry about possible damaged items in shipping(has happened when u have used prime at home) or getting there on time from delayed shipping due to weather etc (happened many times to me at home too). GG all the way for us and frankly do not find AmazonPrime (I am a member but dont buy a ton of groceries as it is pretty pricey) is much cheaper if at all cheaper on a lot of items than GG.

I've looked into both and found them just way too expensive.
That makes the following recommendation off-topic, but as an alternative, we bring our own food from home at a fraction of the cost -- I recommend this option for anyone who is driving, or who can spare a carryon bag when flying. We fly JetBlue and travel carryon-only. JetBlue gives us 1 free carryon per person, plus your personal item, and we're a family of four, so DH and I each take one 21" carryon bag for our own things, pack the kids' clothes together in a third bag, and use the fourth piece of luggage solely for groceries -- cereals, soup mixes, granola, bread (in a hard-sided Tupperware container, of course), antipasto salad, fresh fruits and veggies that pack well (e.g., apples, oranges, baby carrots), dried fruit, etc. Obviously we don't pack anything that isn't TSA-friendly (no liquids or gels, no peanut butter). We buy a gallon of milk at the resort, but that's all we have to purchase. We don't pack any beverages: we drink free ice water on-property and/or bring refillable filter bottles.

Garden Grocer for me. I like that they sell perishables, as opposed to the dry-goods-only of Amazon Pantry. With all of our baby stuff, our hands are too full to be carrying extra bags from home. If I were driving or renting a car, I'd just go to Publix myself.
My order is usually pretty simple anyways. A few cases of Aquafina, a few pounds of bananas, and a six pack (or two) of beer.

Another vote for garden grocer. I used them first time last year. Used again this year. I felt prices slightly higher but not outrageous and definitely worth convenience. I could actually pick yellow bananas and green bananas.
The only problem I had was Disneys fault not garden grocer. Last year groceries were not delivered to room which is what I was told would happen and did second time. Bell services said they couldn't find my room. Don't know what that was all about but it was nearly midnight and we had been up since 4am and I had to call a couple times to get them brought down. Again not garden grocers fault.
Will definitely use them again on longer trips.
