Next week is going to be a bloodbath and I am 100% not ready to say goodbye to some of these characters.
i enjoyed last nights episode, but i’d thought they’d pick up the pace with only a few episodes to go. found it slightly annoying, but didn’t dwell on it. found it fun to see some of these characters u wouldn’t expect to be together mingling with each other.
i’m assuming with only 4 episodes to go, all hell is about to break loose.

I agree. There were only 6 episodes this season, and 1/3 of them are solely about Winterfell (that’s my guess, I think it would be odd for the next episode to spend any time in Kings Landing or the Iron Islands). I know the rest of the episodes will be a little longer, but I’m not sure if it’s enough time to cover everything else that will happen.

I actually liked the slow pace; it helps us catch our breath before all the action that's about to come.

But absolutely worth it, no?
I won't say anything definitive until the end (in just three weeks!) I enjoyed it. It had my rapt attention throughout. It had a reasonable balance between predictability vs surprise. I had trouble suspending all my disbelief, but such spectacle earns a bit of credulity. And this was television on a scale and craft that exceeded many films. The bar is being raised, and outside of those forced to push their budgets ever skyward, we the viewers will all benefit from it.

My theory, Cersei and Euron are going to get betrayed hard core by the Golden Company army she bought. In the books they are for another Targaryen who was never brought into the show but they certainly would not be for a Lannister. Maybe even Darrio, Danys old flame helped set it up after they split.

Dario infiltrating them has been my assumption. Maybe we'll find out where all those elephants have really gone.
