Galveston Launch celebrations?

Does anyone know if Disney has any plans to do some special celebrations or event on the inaugural launch from the Galveston port this fall. We live in Texas and would head down if any special was happening.

Have they done anything like that in previous cities?

Actually, I'd love to know this too! I've tried searching all sorts of avenues & don't find anything. I'm definitely planning to go welcome her, tho. Galveston is much closer now that we moved to Kemah. Hubby & I took a ride down there a few weekends ago. I took a bunch of pics around the port area, the Strand, and over by the sea wall. Also watched the Carnival Magic sail out. That's a biiiiig ship!

She'll be arriving early on 9/22 and sailing out for the first time that evening. So exciting!
