While I love walking around the WS (I visit it at least 3 times per trip!) I often find the Future World very dissapointing and dont spend alot of time there.

I was just wondering what you prefered??

In general, World Showcase is worth the money - and time. The attractions (countries) have so much to offer that (ingeniously) a sense of "Let's come back and do it again!" emerges in the average guest. Live Entertainment. . . and such a variety of high-quality shows (ala American Adventure).

Future World is just behind it. Although I prefer Future World (if I were to "hang out" somewhere) by a smidgen, it still retains those classic EPCOT qualities. Unfortunately, much of the peacefulness has been taken away (crowded and noisy areas on M:S/Test Track side), and the + thrill, - quality issues have degraded the "EPCOT" name, i.e. the current Imagination pavilion.

So much to offer. . . :)

I like the World Showcase. Seems I always discover something that I haven't seen before. I get a real charge out of meeting people from other countries.

However, during the summer months, the WS has to be in the Guiness Book Of World Records for being the hottest place on earth.

No matter the amount of adrenaline pumping attractions they randomly plop into Future World, World Showcase will always be my favorite. Epcot is peaceful and you should try new things whilst learning, thus WS is the ultimate!! I try new food, try talking in different languages (always brushing up on my French) and enjoy the interactions I make with the CMs. Walking peacefully at night is amazing.

Future World is fun, yes, but it is not what I think of when discussing EPCOT. It's also mad crazy and unorganized and clogged over by the 2 new rides.

That's why we appreciated staying at Yacht Club so much, the easy access to WS and WS alone. I remember jsut going there to get a crepe for dessert after dinner at our Resort.

I like Furure World just a little bit more than WS. I'll admit I like thrill rides, so thats a big reason. The main reason though is that I love Figment. He is my favorite non-movie Disney character.

P.S. I may love thrill rides, but I don't agree with the demise of Horizons. I loved that ride. :(

personally, i love the world showcase more than futureworld. If there are any of you who are of a similar mind you may want to do the Hidden treasures tour they run. It takes you through each pavilion and shares some interesting things that i didnt even notice before and i have been visiting since i was born (literally btw. I was born in 1982 the same year epcot debuted. coincidence? i think not)

I'd just like to say yes, but not as hot as Animal Kingdom in August.

I would have to pick WS, simply because Innoventions is sadly lacking in any original fresh ideas, many times the computers and other equipment are not working and generally there are few people in it, this was not the case when they were the Communicores and they were a major part of the lifeblood of FW.

I prefer Future World. I'm a teenager so that might be kind of a given. I'm one of those people that are obsessed with the future and technology. That's why I love Innoventions and exploring that area. I like being able to see how far technology is going to advance and Future World is a great place to see it. World Showcase is pretty nice, but I like to do rides at the parks. Last time we quickly went through World Showcase, but I have to say that I was impressed. I like looking around and traveling the globe, but Future World gets my vote.

well, when i was younger, i probably would've said FW simply for Journey Into Imagination and Image Works...but since those were sadly laid to rest, my vote goes to WS. i still love parts of FW like TT, SSE, and even WoL (i love the snack place in there, and the music! Ray Lynch is a genious!) but the state FW is in saddens me. i just can't stand seeing it as a shell of its former self. but WS is one of the few places in WDW that has remained pretty much the same for the past 11 years, which is great for me! i'm not saying i NEVER want it to change, i'm just saying i don't think it should ever be completely overhauled NOR completely neglected. i could live with a few changes (or additions) here or there.
but WS is always fun to explore and take pictures of no matter how many times i visit!

Every year, I used to love furute world and not like WS at all. When youre a young kid, you don't really enjoy WS. But this year, my sister and I had a blast! We stopped at one pavillion that had drums that you got to play, and we stayed there for like an hour. We were getting such good laughs because people thought we were CMs! People stopped, and though it was a show with people playing drums. We got so into it when we got a crowd, but people caught on that we were two teenagers. Then, one woman stopped and left us a dollar. That was the funniest thing of the trip.

We walked around there so many times, and enjoyed WS more than furute world this year.

Wait, there is a Future World at EPCOT? (Obviously my vote goes to WS) I guess it is a sign of getting old, but I could spend all day at WS. In fact, I could probably eat at WS every night while on a week-long vacation because there are so many great choices.

I love Epcot, and worked in WSC as an ambassador for Mexico. We were given that tour you mention and it made me appreciate it even more! All the details and the reasons why things were done in every pavillion are amazing. Then you also have the HUGE work it is bringing people from all over the world to work in them and make them more accurate. Bringing the original merchandise, original live entertainment, doing the interviews in each country, getting all the paperwork, visas, flight arrangements, housing, transportation, etc, etc, for all those internationals, makes it truely amazing and I doubt there can be any other park like that. :)

So my vote goes for WSC. :sohappy:

I was going to reply the exact same thing to Tramp! AK is a lot worse! When it comes to cold weather, AK is very cold, but WSC is colder - but it is also open later than AK.

...and "Heyyall", that´s great!
